I really wanted most weasels. Oh well, good fight Snare. Good job team, and our worthy adversary in blackfly. I have a few questions though. When are sign ups going to open? Who are C3P0 and R2-D2? And finally, are we having a themed round? I love themes.

Gotta say, less onlining would have improved that round. You guys sure are good at camping an onlining. However, there were some fun moments.
Now, I promised that I would tell you what was up with stat gathering at the end of the round. And as promised:

Quote3,961,748,065 rats have been sold on the market for an average price of $425
695,045,491 weasels have been sold on the market for an average price of $759
659,635,420 stoats have been sold on the market for an average price of $1,421
230,116,826 skiffs have been sold on the market for an average price of $2,241
56,164,969,888 food has been sold on the market for an average price of $15

Historically, the net value of troops/food/cash has been decided arbitrarily. I was interested, at the prompting of peace, to see what people actually valued net at, so I coded a simple market tracker to see what people actually thought. The results are above..

I can run exact numbers later, but it seems that the value of troops also goes in seniority. ie, rats are first, weasels second, etc. This will help immensely with the balancing effort, thanks to all who helped out. In the meantime, I will be using market stats this round to make a more accurate representation of the value of troops which will make it into regular play in a round or two.

Wow, that's really cool. Great work Shadow.

It should be noted that the market works like a fractional reserve bank (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fractional_reserve_banking).

Of course, theoretically the multiplier would be 6.45, but since there are troop losses and such the multiplier is smaller, but the idea is similar.

I imagine stats would look different in a round with more free land flow and as I said I will post exact stats tomorrow, but the ideas are solid and food for thought.

For sure, I'd love to see those numbers tomorrow.

You are the worst sore loser in history. Not to mention dirty and a failure at your own game. Round would of been fun if you didn't cheat to ensure Snowy could lock the land from the start. Forgot to mention how your team onlined many players earlier
You sad bro?
One day you'll admit your an idiot and seek enough help to get 3.0 out of the beta stage.
Good play Snowy Fir. You are a chiller and pretty tight jus teamed with a fool.
Congrats to Snare taking first spot, Ryu in second and Montezuma in 3rd. Special thanks to Lucozade/Pip 3.14 and Gondor. Anything you guys ever need just hit me up.

Thanks Sevz. I would have Finished 5th though if it wasn't for Sevs, Snare, Ryu, and Pippin, so thanks to yal for making me look much better than I actually am.

Who are C3P0 and R2-D2? And finally, are we having a themed round? I love themes.

C3P0 and R2-D2 were bots, they were released at the start of the round.  That was the small addition to the theme I mentioned earlier.  The goal was to see how the bots would do if noone knew they were bots.  Seems like they do about the same, Dash ended with a higher net but she was the only one.
Also,
Most Cash
Rarity (#39)
18,710,717,583 Cash
...
I need to work on that, lol.

Theme wise, we might go with another standard theme.
Unless there's something yall really want to play, the differences in this round are mostly cosmetic (I can hear the wailing and gnashing of teeth beginning already).

considering the circumstances, that victory was legendary. I'd have even swallowed my pride and congratulated Kyle if he managed to muster up a win like that. Congrats to everyone involved, the underdogs prevailed. Special thanks to sevz, 3.14, Gondor,Pippin, Ryu, and halls, for standing up against a tyrant. We had nothing but we turned it into everything. Snowy, thanks for not "manning up" and refusing to run without your counterpart. Oh, and since you were so cocky:

hahahaha, oh gosh

Can we at least do super/double turns if you don't plan on adding a major theme?

I think we should just get higher turns for a while, since it wasn't put up on time. Not saying that I'm mad or anything. Just giving an idea. I think we should do custom race if it still exists.
Title: Re: Turbo Round 57 (3.0 Round 3) Immortalization
Post by: Shores of Tripoli on April 29, 2012, 11:19:21 AM
What is a custom race? Is that were you can modify the statistics of you're own race?

Um, yes. Are you trolling? Or was that just a good guess?

Am I trolling? No, I just didn't know what that was. Yea, that would be an  awesome round theme.

Post by: Ian2424 on April 29, 2012, 11:29:37 AM
Oh, okay. Because you asked the question, and answered it perfectly. Lol. And yes, that's what I think. It would give people a chance to do what they do best. Attacking, defending, cashing, farming, or indying.
Title: Re: Turbo Round 57 (3.0 Round 3) Immortalization
Post by: Shores of Tripoli on April 29, 2012, 11:31:09 AM
Yea, that would be really fun. Networth would be really high at the end of the round.
Title: Re: Turbo Round 57 (3.0 Round 3) Immortalization
Post by: Ian2424 on April 29, 2012, 11:34:09 AM
Especially if someone had a really high bonus in cashing and mercs. Or indying and defending and/or attacking. Or farming and leaders. I would love it!

Well we're still working on race balancing a bit. So perhaps custom race should be the first thing we run when we release.

Maybe we should do a half round at double speed?

 That would be awesome.

Post by: Ian2424 on April 29, 2012, 01:13:02 PM
I don't think we should. Super turns and custom race? People would switch to scouting and building until last protection turn, and switch stats to indying/leaders/and defending and lock land. Personally, I would actually want to do that.

Post by: Ian2424 on April 29, 2012, 01:14:00 PM
I meant them combined, by the way. But a half round with double turns? Better make it triple turns and 950 turns and 450 stored. I would love it.

When you've so many turns, you run into the issue of no one being unmaxxed for attacks and everyone ends up farming peacefully for most of the turns. The other side of this is that the clanned players will be able to kill each other at will, so it's unlikely to see clan play. Just keep that in mind.

I'd really like to have a storehouse round. That would be pretty epic.

Yeah, but I always wanted to try passive. And storehouse sounds cool too. I always wanted to see how many troops I could make in a round.
