Rat has almost 0% on all of its race bonuses compared to the crow which has -10% on nearly all of it's race bonuses.

I believe the worst race is Crow.

My favorites are:

Wildcat
Weasel
Marten

Riverpaw

Crow was made to be useless. It was supposed to be a "challenge". That aside, everything is useful, but the non-leader-prone races are becoming less and less useful.

actually, they're just as useful, but the leader ones are becoming more useful
I'm so tired of being lost in a world,
Where no one can find me.
I want to break free of the cage,
That has been enclosing me for too long.
I know that I am alone and no one will save me,
So I am to escape for myself.
I wander down a path,
That will go on for eternity.
I shall never reach the end,
I am trapped no matter where I go.
Though I finally manage to reach the end,
I must fight the monster inside of me to pass.
It is filled with so much anger, hate, and despair,
The only antidote is love, courage, and hope.
The three things I do not have,
And never will.
It is there that I give up,
I have nothing left but myself.
So I lay down forever,
Never going to get up again...as I fade away from all existence.

And, therefore, troop-based races are now less effective comparatively.

ok, so I gather that the majority of RWL that has posted in this topic believe that crow is the worst. I agree. Other than that , I believe weasel is the best race. If you pressgang to get troops, you get three different types of troops, which are very expencive to keep. Unless it is in a final run to make NW, it is not working toward your advantage (only because the black market is banned). If you are a weasel and you need land, you can corsair a bit, which is less expencive to keep, and more acurate while attacking.( similar to having 100 percent on one troop type and building barracks)
Again, the races are very similar, but I again, favor weasels.
My explainations don't seem very liable, but I am pressed for time. I will give some valid points later.
(everything conserning races may change dramatically for next round. If leaders are disabled, and the chart for races comes back, choosing a race will take a closer eye than before, yet matter in gameplay much less.

Not true.  Skiffs cost the most to keep, and you gain more than if you Pressgang (I've experimented and done both with around the same net).  And once again, it all depends on your strat.  Massing leaders just makes having a "horde to fight other Warlords" pointless...

Naltaca

Well corsairing gives you less nw for more turns while pressganging gives you greater nw with fewer turns even though it consumes partially more, I would say it's worth it but wolf snare does present a valid point.

They got rid of the races chart? From what I remember wild cat has +16 atk and +6 def +build +like 12 troops and -20% mercs and -leaders. rats have +20 troops and -20 leaders.

exactly. For my strategy, If I need some more loyalty and Im not exactly stacked with fod and cash, I'd rather use cprsair to get troops. With pressgang, your troops aren't focused into one group, and you pay for troops you dont need. It is also easier to break people because your troops ar infact all one type. You need not worry about keeping the land because you only need it to fix your loyalty and you can expect it to get taken. You just make a few more troops the next day and repeat it if needed.
besides, weasel and wildcat are the same on the + and - chart, so they are basically even.

If you don't have a context to put something into, that thing has no value.
