I have a laptop computer that heats up quickly when I play a game but it still runs fast because I have an uberfan under it.

Last I checked though, Chrome was pretty bad, and deceptive because it runs each tab as a new process . . .

Firefox has serious memory leak problems though :(

Heh.  My firefox generally runs around 2GB
I've caught the flash plugin alone (separate process now, yay) using 600MB.

Its mostly my lazy browsing habits though...  I use the awesomebar and tabs instead of bookmarks.  Generally have 75 - 150 tabs open

yeah I usually have about 20 tabs open, sometimes more, I have to start culling them when it's usage starts going over 1GB

Flash doesn't seem too bad on the memory (usually) but it eats into my CPU a bit, which is annoying (especially when the noisy fan kicks in)

They usually rabbit on about how's it's all the fault of plug ins, but it really isn't . . . I've caught it using plenty of RAM without installing any
