I know I said I'd post this tomorrow, but Shael is reeeeeeallly bored and doesn't feel like finishing her physics homework. (and yes, I'll switch from first person to third person in the middle of a sentence whenever I feel like it) It's only an hour till tomorrow anyway.
Anyways, this round was thought up by Peace. And it is called The Storehouse.
Everyone will be sorted into three clans upon signing up. You may leave the clan if you wish, but you cannot join a clan again. Clans cannot be created.
If you are in a clan, you have the option to use the clan storehouse. You can store: troops, food, loyalty, cash, and leaders. (Leaders have been removed because some people won't enough enough huts after the distribution to hold them anyway)
[EDIT] Whatever is in the storehouses will have 4% interest added to it each day.
After a couple weeks or so, the storehouses for each clan will be distributed. Whatever is in the storehouses will be divided equally among each member in the clan. (of course, players who are not in clans will not receive anything.) Turns will probably be increased during this time period.
From then on, it's a battle between everyone for the top spots. After the distribution, you are not allowed to leave your clan. Right now, the clans are not set to war with each other, but after the distribution, they will be.
These are the only changes that are being made. Some minor details are still being worked on, and so this post will be updated when they are decided. They won't interfere with the game being set up this Tuesday though. Nothing can stop that now. =p
I don't quite get it; what's the point of using the storehouse? People who put in a lot are going to get ripped off, and people who put in little (or none) are going to get a bunch of stuff for free...

Maybe 5% or 10% of all things made (army cash food) by a member goes into the Storehouse. This way the good players have reason to help newer players they are teamed up with to make more stuff so that they don't get ripped off when things are separated. hummmm? And the leaving the clan can be used wrong if right before the store house separation a clan deal is made that 2 leave, thus leaving one person to get emperor?

when will the reset be? if you are tweaking it i imagine it wont be for a few days at least
The first way (above) I had suggested would have been a full rewrite, but we think we found a fast fix. She thinks it will be out in time. Unless told different, assume the time has not changed.

It sounds pretty awesome. This actally gives a great opportunity to try some of my multi-person strats that I've been working on.
How much of something you have, say troops would you be able to put in 20% max, 90% max?
I got the impression that it would be taxed from your earnings rather than a voluntary donation.. am I right?
Shael has now edited the first post saying that the storehouse will have an interest rate of 4% each day. What this means is that each day, all stuff your team puts in the storehouse will get 4% bigger. This is a lot. Over a month you will have a few times the resources you put in. Even the old pros at the game will want to put stuff in because if they don?t, and the other teams do, they will be far behind when the massive armies, food, loyalty and cash is released. All members of the clans will wont this amount to be as big as possible.
Reasons a person will want to store away resources:
1. To have it multiply many times its value.
2. Because if you don?t and the enemy does, you will be ?smashified?
3. To not need to feed / pay your armies and to keep your stuff safe from being stolen.
This is exciting, I can?t wait for the battles of the last days!!!

Ya, so the main goal to this round is to work together as a clan as efficiently as possible to build up as much resources as you can, and then at the end the turns are bumped and we see who the last clan/man standing is.
how long will we have after the storehouse is re-distributed?
About two weeks, I'm guessing, since the storehouse is distributed after two weeks. The exact date is still to be determined.

Don't forget people...the earlier you store stuff, the more beneficial it'll be to you later, because of the 4% interest each day. Some people have already put stuff in, and it's already increased....pretty awesome.
Would it be difficult to adjust it so that everyone in any particular clan can see how much other clan mates have stored? I don't want to get halfway through the set, only to find out that half of the members of my clan have barely stored anything, making me take a loss even with the interest added in.
I actually think it would be more interesting if the storehouse amounts were kept secret until the distribution, which would encourage communication within the clans a lot more.
Hey guys, I'm kinda disappointed at the lack of use of the clan forums...this round requires that you communicate with your clan members a lot to be able to grasp a firm knowledge of where you stand amongst the other clans.
You won't have any idea what's in the storehouse until the distribution (I'll probably post the storehouse results on the distribution date), so now is a good time to ask around and see what other people have put in already.
Some people have done that already, which is awesome, just don't want to see other people fall behind.

Tentative Distribution date: Thursday, September 20th. (assuming the reset is the 28th)
I would have to say make the reset on the friday closest to the reset date.
That would give us all weekend to battle it out, and a little more time as well.
That's the Thursday before the Friday closest to the reset date. =p (the reset's on a Friday) I was thinking about Friday, but decided one extra day wouldn't hurt.
I'm begining to think that maybe the percentage in the storehouse should be just a little higher than it is right now.
Maybe 8-10% up each day...
I just don't feel as though I am going to get back everything I have put ino the storehouse thus far, because most of it will go to clanmates, who may not use it as it was intentioned to be used.
And the same thing works the other way, too...
I may get a whole bunch of stuff that my clanmate inteded for a different use, and I may waste it because I have no idea why he wanted/needed it.
That's what aid is for. =/

Suggestion:
What if we handed out storehouse stuff based on how many turns you have used?
Think about it, would it really be fair if someone who went on once a week got the same amount of stuff as somebody who went on everyday? Or if someone joins right at the end, should they get all the same stuff as someone who was here the first week?
That would also mean that players who were on vacation could still get thier respective amounts...
Nope. Everyone will get equal amounts. Players on vacation and protection will not get anything.
We're solving Shadow's problem by moving the distribution day up one day to the 19th.

It would be wise if the teams reminded their players to have shields up and try to be on line during the distribution. Just a hint.
It will not be possible to give shares based on how active a person has been. Because this is a once or trice game, the distribution is not programed and will be manual.
Also, Shael, will we take the game off line as the amounts are added so no one on line at the time could use their stuff before the others get their stuff?

I don't think it would be fair to distribute according to activity. The idea of this game isn't to reward people on the amount of time they play, people should be able to play this game leisurely without any significant disadvantage.
Yep, there will be some downtime on the game while I distribute everything and get everything set up.
Can you give us an exact time perhaps the night before?

Never liked kill wars, but I assume that is the only way this game could go. Some of those people in wind I don't recognize, which means they may be new. If Fire plans on taking out wind, please do it with some dignity and let them know when the sign up date will be for next round. Thanks,

i have to say after the take down of key players i lost interest in turbo, we were so far ahead that is was no fun, in saying that it was one of the best turbo rounds up to that
i wont take out the new members of wind
EDIT: although i should take out varsaigen for all those annoying steals and online attacks... :-P
but i guess i wont cause ive really got nothing to prove on that score lol
