To get more army you build on your land.
Your Networth will rise as you gain more troops (from Barracks), money (from Markets) and food (from Foragers).
You get land to sustain your army and make it stronger. Having land doesn't make you landfat. I suggest reading the Game Guide thouroughly.
I will not deleted this

Huts are nice to have. An espionage can do a world of good, and if you have to attack in leaders, 6 million loyalty, my current amount, isn't too bad, especially when gaining 10,000+ a turn... Barracks are invaluable. Foragers and Markets, too, to avoid desertions...

 They are valuable.

Invaluable: too valuable to be measured; priceless

they are extreamly valuable becuse markets are what keep your cash flowing and so do foragers. and the more barracks you have the more troops you get.

i don't think you should build guards though. i have no guards, and still have a high defense.
