Some of you already noticed that I was back -- though I admit to being surprised how many people remember and/or have heard of me! -- but I figured I'd drop a note for everyone else. I'm running as High Priestess Wildmoon on both Regular and Turbo servers.

I've really missed this place.

I know that Stoat's Academy was excessively overpowered before, but was it really necessary to make it worse than worthless? I (very, very accidentally) spent 100 turns using Academy, with a net decrease of 15,000,000 loyalty...and my ratio went from 120 to 131.

That's just plain pitiful.

Just stopping in to say 'hi' to everyone. I really miss this place, but between school, work, RP, books I want to read, games I want to play, and stories I want to write, I just can't keep focused on a game like this for long enough stretches of time.

That said, I might stop in for a round of Turbo in December, depending on where it's at when I start break (10th through the end of the month)--although I must admit to being slightly disappointed that I only recognized one name of the current top ten. :(  So we'll see.

Along those lines, I've only got these last couple of weeks to finish my Associates Degree, so that's really great--and if I bust my butt with final projects, I might just pull out a perfect 4.0 all the way through; still something like 3.9/3.8 even if I don't quite make it (since it's only one class that's brutalizing me, between absurd amounts of work and not feeling so great on and off the entire term, especially lately when I really need to be working).

Anyway, I ramble, so just 'hey.'


EDIT: Also, I see the forum-bickering hasn't died down in the slightest. :P

1) The greens and reds ought to be altered so that green is always a good thing and red is always a bad thing (for example, -20% to costs would be green). I believe this would be helpful to some new players, and would be helpful for everyone to get an overall view of relative strengths and weaknesses.

2) Unless something fundamental has changed in the racial bonuses from when I was here a few months ago, the values in the mercenary category are incorrect--Rat, for one, is shown as having -40% to Mercenaries, while I know for a fact they actually receive +40%.

3) What the heck is going on with Stoat? They have absolutely /no/ racial weaknesses, and a /ton/ of racial strengths.


4) Also, just to avoid making a new topic, the create account/top ten pages for Turbo are busted. (And clicking on Game Guide takes you back to the old style).

This is White Fang (#244) on Regular...How the crap did I get attacked 77 times without a single attack op being opened? Also, why does it seem like poison ignored my guards?

What are they again now? I know they changed, and I can't find the topic in which it was originally noted.

Okay, ended up in a brief online fight, and here's what my build screen looks like.

I'm sure the problem is quite readily apparent, and it's really, really drastically screwing with my ability to play. ('Cause it's not just the display; it really won't let me build anymore than that).

In Turbo, the Attack me! (robot land farm) account does not update net when someone drops land to it. This creates an extreme and massive imbalance as the land takes a very considerably long time to filter back up to the top ranks where it came from.

to The Warden for his victory. Even after I finish converting all of my cash to NW, I know full well that I will not be able to match his networth. That said, however, I do not concede defeat, for unless there is a very, very considerable skill differential between the players involved, one sole empire, no matter who it is, can never hope to compete with two or more empires who have collaborated together and pooled their networths.

Snare, perhaps you can defeat me by your own efforts next time.

Epsilon smiles broadly whilst perusing the latest batch of reports from the various provinces and far corner of his empire, as well as the those of the other empires scattered across the continent, gently sipping the finest tea to be found in any charted locations, imported from the islands far to the east. "When will they understand," he muses aloud to himself, "that their great armies and dominating ways mean nothing in the face of commerce and the contentment of one's people." Indeed, the refined emporer himself holds no army whatsoever (rather, a very small militant police type of organization, sufficent for keeping order and staving off roving bands of barbarians, but not at all suited for defending against an organized assault), but his empire is well known to all as the most powerful to be found. He is a kind, benevolant ruler who gives his people the prosperity they wanted, and they, in turn, produce the prosperity that *he* wants--all things considered, a very good working relationship. He even gives them opportunities to voice their wishes about the governing of the empire, beasts elected by the general populace making up a very complex system of command within the provinces he held, and even directly underneath him in the command of the entire empire. At the end of the day, he still holds the final say, but it gives the people some feeling of control over the less important matters, which in turn increases their productivity. Very nice, all in all.

Finishing both the tea and his perusal of the reports, the Stoat files the papers away, then pulls down an extremely lavish book, still smiling. It's not the original, of course, but everything from that original has been copied down perfectly, multiple scribes checking and re-checking and re-re-checking, then even checking once more for good measure. It is a book that has been passed down through the ages, received by his great-great grandfather, the self-named Alpha Dash, from his tutor, a great and wise wolf from a very powerful lineage, the last Redan Dash to leave his mark upon history. Within the book is the collective experiences and thoughts of emporers spanning nigh a millenium, and Epsilon attributes his success almost wholely to what he learned therein (along with what his father taught him directly, of course). He thumbs carefully through it for a few minutes, enjoying the feel of the sheer raw power and knowledge in his hands, then gently replaces it upon the bookshelf.

Smiling, he exits the massive office to start the morning's work, proud and confident in what he has built, yet simultaneously a gentleman among vermin. Who says that his race cannot rise above its base nature?

When I tried to execute the Enrich mission, I was given a Fail message (I only had a 30 or so Leader/Hut ratio, so I'm sure that's why).

However, every time I use Feast now, it gives me the 'land is enriched, +5% food message'...even though the status still says that Enrich is not active.

Could I get my account on Reg (Alpha Fang) brought back on-line? I'd really appreciate it.

Incite uprising?

On Turbo, I (Alpha Dash, #6) sent 40 bil dollars to Snare (Phoenix Lamment, #17), then another 40 bil...both times, the cash was not taken from my count and was not added to his. However, his news page said that he received it, and I lost the turns required to send it.

Having been interrupted in my position by the crashing of the server, I now reclaim it (for great justice!)

There's quite a number of errors in it: not only do the colors and the values not match (some bonuses are red and some drawbacks green), but some of the +/- are wrong (for example, Rat gets +40% to mercs, but it reads as -40%).

I took troops off the market, and it actually -decreased- my networth.

Yeah, I'm pulling out of this one. Not only are we going to be on vacation for approximately 10% of the set (which is fairly significant), but I have a good deal of work and decisions that must be accomplished/made this month.

I must admit, it's been fun, and I learned a lot.

~White Fang/Redan Dash/Kage Mane no Jutsu

Okay, I was trying to peg some exact numbers in Turbo, and here's what I found: there's something quite wrong with the expense calculation. Not only does it go UP when you drop land, but Camps have NO effect over it!

Okay...so I figured I would drop all my land, thereby killing my account, and restart (due to picking the wrong race). Unfortunately, the game is now making me delete my account, but then it won't let me delete due to it being "too new." Essentially, my account (Redan Dash) is now stuck in limbo.

Help? (Sorry for the trouble).
