...sales from the market are deposited in the bank?

Well.

That explains a lot from last round.

Some of you already noticed that I was back -- though I admit to being surprised how many people remember and/or have heard of me! -- but I figured I'd drop a note for everyone else. I'm running as High Priestess Wildmoon on both Regular and Turbo servers.

I've really missed this place.

Well, I understand it *normally*, versus players, but in this case a) all that land should have raised its networth considerably (hence posting in the bugs forum) and b) one of the themes of the round is to kill the Tears in order to take it, but none of the players at the top can actually touch it most of the time.

Right now, Tears has slightly over 100,000 land, but only 2.2 mil networth.

It's a little  :( being told that an empire is too small for me to attack while it has all that land.

Yeah, that was a pretty spiffy opportunity. I was just spying so I could attack for land, and it was pretty 'whoah.'

Still, I think I would have shot up pretty well even without that for only having played for less than half the round.

Well, that was fun. I haven't played in months.

I'd say I did really good for only playing 13 days out of the round, and being the only one in top ten (and almost in the entire game) that wasn't clanned.

Huh. Interesting. Very interesting.

Does the 30% deal include troops? Things like leader-loot?

Yeah, there wasn't any way I was going to hit #1, unless I'd pulled off a particularly clever Attack/Murder run on the top, but I feel pretty good about what I did, being one of the only solo players up top, if not /the/ only one. (Many times, I was the only unclanned guy in the whole Top Ten).

*Snaps fingers.*

Established second a little after ten with stored cash; woulda' had the spot if I hadn't gotten distracted from finishing up sooner. Ah well, I'd say I did pretty good for just coming back, and since most everyone else in the top was clanned most of the round.

Isn't there a rule against maxxing like that, anyway?

Help / Bugs / Re: Academy?
December 06, 2008, 04:27:50 PM
Well, it's because I didn't realize the first time that I had done 25, so just hit F5 when I noticed that Academy was actually being helpful. I then noticed I had just done it 50 times.

And, yeah, that's right; I had forgotten that it was based off workers now (and the game guide is decidedly out-of-date).

Help / Bugs / Academy?
December 06, 2008, 01:40:38 PM
I know that Stoat's Academy was excessively overpowered before, but was it really necessary to make it worse than worthless? I (very, very accidentally) spent 100 turns using Academy, with a net decrease of 15,000,000 loyalty...and my ratio went from 120 to 131.

That's just plain pitiful.

Haha, anyone else still remember the clan-storehouse round? That was a great round.

I just might; have there been any substantial balancing/gameplay changes since I was around last?

EDIT: Oh, yeah, and looking back at old immorts, I realized that I had it backwards--Redan Dash was my older handle, and then I started with Alpha/Beta/etc. Dash after the game went down and then back up, and we started the round numbers over from 1. I remember now that I did this because I used to always play wolves (and I really liked Redan Dash as a name for, say, a red wolf), but then wanted something more race-inclusive with re-balancing.

EDIT 2: And, yes, we should do that, Snare.

I played as Alpha/Beta Dash way back, but my most recent good number of runs were under Redan Dash I/II/III, etc.
