Because otherwise the admins could gag their other accounts by peeking at their IPs. That's how Shael fond out about all of my accounts. Not all, actually, one's in Ohio... I have Is Julie an Oddball?, RazorClaw in Ohio, Trajan, The Nobody, and Fenix II, which I made to annoy the admins and make members wonder if Josh was back.

If it was a long-term gag/ban, yes, they would. They have before, I know.

Anyway, what's the purpose of banning if you just ban that account name? Half of us have more than one account, anyway. I have... erm... three, I think. I don't use them, though.
