It's inactive...because no one is stirring up trouble. There's a continuous curve, right now, it's at a low point. Just wait and watch, someone will come along...hack into someone else's account, challenge the admins, create a clan and choke the top ten, or something of the like, and the forums will spring to life again. Then after that matter is settled, boredom will ensue, and the cycle begins again. You'll see.

And yes, part of the reason is because everyone's away for the holidays, and therefore they can't stir up trouble.
