Creating another account because he couldn't wait to tell us that he hasn't done anything wrong to break the forum rules has moved us to ban him from this forum.
1. He flamed others, (calling others cry babies, etcs)
2. He used lang of questionable sorts
3. Questioning our disicion to gag him
4. He dodge his week gag
I hope he enjoys his trip to Plato. I hear it quite cold this time of the year.
I can understand why he was banned, yet I don't feel he should be.
Satan's Helper was just toying with our forums, you could say. He didn't take himself, nor us, seriously. I believe he was just trying to have some fun, despite his breaking rules.
However, I understand his language was slightly questionable, but I've checked out the SG forums, and they are /extremely/ lenient and slack in regards to language, spelling and grammar, etc. All of those things the RWL Forums support strongly, and we have to teach that.
In his own mind, I don't think he believed he was being terribly bad, and I personally don't believe he was either. Actually, I had a good laugh a couple of times.
I am fairly sure every single one of you will disagree with me, because Satan's posts have made something of a mess on the boards.
But I ask you re-think your decision Ad, and consider a gagging, rather than such a strong blow.
I totally agree with Holby. Satan's Helper wasn't doing anything that terribly bad. A gagging would do, even after he questioned his gag. I mean, if I was gagged and I didn't know what I did, would I question it? You bet I would. Did you at least give him a warning before you gagged him? Did anyone tell him it was wrong?
*Giggles* I know I find humor in the strangest things, but I found his posts halarious.
~A Pointless Post From Julie
Yeah, but unless you IP ban him, he'll just go around any gag... like he already did.
1) He was gagged. He went around it and flamed again.
2) He was highly offensive.
3) Julie, EVERYONE was telling him to watch it. He just flamed them for telling him that. He had no remorse.
I think that this decision was very good one for once. He definatly realized that this would come.
::Claps::
I'd agree with Holby, but for one small detail: his name.
Yea, his name is horrible. We aren't allowed to say lovely( the dar word) but his name has to do with the devil, and down under(another word not allowed) I mean, that is really disrespectful, because if some one here is very religous that could be harmful to them.
Alot of these people that are gagged I have never heard of before. Although if what Ad said is true then he should[i/] be gagged.
Since Cal says he was already gagged, I agree with Ad's decision. He's been warned too many times to deserve a second chance, and others were getting rather irked.
I agree.
*cheers* Hurray for the ban! I am 100% with you there Ad, he knew lovely well he was getting close to being banned. Then he pushed it even further. I know its not going to matter much to him, but i hope he learns a lesson from this.
People like that almost never learn their lesson.
They just go through life without a clue, but it's more to their detriment than anyone else's.
Ad the rat: Am I correct in saying it is aginst rules to challange the Admin's actions? That is what #3 on the list of offences seemes to say.
I think that that, on top of everything else the guy's done, does count against him.
On the other hand, there are some people who question almost everything the Admins do, and they don't get gagged.
(Nev, please don't do what you did on Terrouge!)
Nev, no, you can dissagree, but you can't dodge a gag! Geez!
Err... maybe I wasn't thinking.. but 3 and 4 are caused by the same post that he did when he got around the gag, so in some ways, 3 and 4 are the same thing.
He questioned the gag by posting while gagged saying he shouldn't of been gagged. (bit of a tongue twister there) If he questioned the gagged after his gag was up, then the banning wouldn't of happened and the list wouldn't of included questioning the adminings. I just get a little annoyed when people question it while they are following their sentence. If he was to questioning without damaging his gagging, I.E PMing me, Messaging me on AIM, etc etc. I wouldn't of mind it. But you saw clearly that he broke the gagging and questioned it.
Just jumping in here,
It would seem that a gaged person has the right to speak only in the topic of their gag. (assuming they act respectfully). Do they not have the right to speak their side to the players?
Not that I really know what is going on here, but if the guy only went around his gag to ask the forum if the gag was reasonable in the topic of his gag, then that should not be "getting around his gag".

You mean Pluto? Yeah, I know, I'm SPAGing you. It's not my fault. Blame... well, see my LJ later if you're really curious.
I say he deserves it B)
The way he questioned his gag was in a separate topic, in which he basically flamed the Admins for gagging him, and insulted the forums as a whole.
Anyway, his gag was short. He should have protested after the time period of his gag.
I say you perm ban his IP form joining the forums....

If your gonna bother doing that, hope you plan on banning his range and every proxy you can find.
Which is to say, you can't make it impossible for him to come back, but depending on how determined he is, you can make it slightly more difficult.

He went around the gag to flame people, the complaint was only his form to do so.
