People seem a little confused about what the storehouse percentage actually means. To clarify:

50% means that the storehouse pays for 50% of your resource loss when you are in the red, refunds you 50% of all troops losses taken during an attack, and refunds some of your defensive troops (more the lower your land is).

It does not mean that 50% of what you produce is automatically added to the storehouse. The storehouse ONLY fills up with what you add to it yourself via the clan page.

For those unaware, Java 7 updates 1-6 have a major security hole which can be exploited on any operating system at all to execute malicous code (yes, that means you Mac users).

Apologies about all the bots recently. We've added a question that should be pretty difficult for bots to the registration page, and hopefully this will shut them down for the moment. As far as I know, no bots have been able to sign up since that time, whereas we were getting several new ones per day before. They may beat it at some point, and we'll deal with that then.

However, a lot of bots sign up without posting immediately, so expect that there will still be a fair few bot posts from ones which signed before the addition of the question. I've been going through recent signups and banning the obvious ones, but there will still be a few for a while before they peter out.

If you see an obvious bot post please pm me a link to the bot's profile. It makes my job a little bit easier. Signs include

- a profile with 0 posts, but a link in their personal text or signature which is unrelated to the game
- names which are apparently random strings of letters
- personal text which isn't english (there was a few days where all the new bot signups had arabic script in their signatures)

If you really are feeling ambitious about helping out, go to the memberlist, sort by recent signup date, and send me the obvious ones. It's what I've been doing as I can, but time is limited for me at the moment.

Don't click any links they put up. While most are harmless attempts to optimize someone's pagerank, some of them are going to contain malware.

I work in a biophysics lab at the moment, and one of the projects I am working on indirectly involves novel methods for DNA sequencing. Needless to day, I am learning about DNA as I do this, and I have to say, it's pretty much the coolest thing there is. Here's just one little tidbit of unlikely stuff you can do with it.

Pretty simple question. It's pretty much good to go, I think. Of course I will still be coding new features/themes, but the core of the game is done and that's what reg is.

This round's theme has been long in the works in my head and that of many others. Thanks to everyone who contributed ideas. If it is popular, it may become a regular feature. So do let us know what you think.

This theme is clan storehouse, but with several twists.

You can deposit both troops and resources into the store up to a max determined by the total net of your clan. You need at least two members to deposit or receive benefits from the storehouse.

Withdrawals are a bit different. You cannot withdraw directly - instead, it comes from how you play. If you are in the red for cash or food, the storehouse will compensate your losses up to 50% (percent determined by the leader of your clan). When you attack people, some of your losses (up to 50% again) are compensated from the clan army.

When you defend, some of your losses are compensated. The exact percentage is determined by your land total compared to the average - if you are getting killed, the storehouse pays out very quickly to reinforce your losses, whereas you get not much if you are high on land.

The base payout percentage is determined by your leader.

I hope this is fun, and not abusable. If you see abuse potential or have suggestions for improvement, please let me know.

All right guys,

in honour of spa room providing me the motivation I needed to code the storehouse that will rock RWL next round, I am going to start a clan that I really hope everyone in spa will join. I will be teaching anyone who wants to, but mostly we will just have fun and try out the new storehouse. Imperium rules apply while in the clan.

I also have been working on the randomizing feature that Ungatt suggested (in my head). I have a solid plan for it, just need the motivation to do it, and if everyone plays and has fun that should be more than enough.

For those who are worried that they aren't great players, fear not! The storehouse is specifically designed to help level the playing field by buffering your mistakes.

So, we're pretty decently balanced at this point, I think. Nothing stands out alone, teams are good, and lots of loopholes have been closed. Now is the time for fun new features. For those who might not otherwise see it because it's in spa:

I know a lot of the spa room doesn't play RWL that much, just sticks to the forums. Why is that?

What could I do (codewise) to make the game something you would all want to play? Any and all ideas are welcome, whether you think they are feasible or not.
