Oh my gosh! That is so nice to know! I thought that was my number to beat other numbers! I just haven't been very aggressive lately. Good to know, thanks!

Strategy / Not dying
August 27, 2015, 12:50:52 PM
So:

I was checking my stats today and decided I needed more land. So naturally I go to the score board to see who I could  attack and I notice that my both my offence and defense were both in the double digits while basically everyone else on there has trip or quad digits.

I tried acquiring and selling troops but nothing changed.

Question: What do I do to change my offence/defense numbers/percentages?

General Discussion / Wrecking stuff

So:

I've been playing merrily along and building tons of stuff with all the land that I acquired and then lost.

I now find myself in a position where I'm making too many troops per turn to be sustainable for more than 50 or so turns. My plan was to demolish some barracks and set up some markets, but I haven't seen a way to demolish buildings.

Is this possible/how do I do this. And  If I can't, what do you recommend I do?

Strategy / Balance
August 20, 2015, 10:21:51 AM
So:

I thought it would be a great idea to raid the Free Land and get tons of acreage. This seemed great. I had the most land and my net worth was skyrocketing. However, because I had the most unguarded land, I became an easy target, and as my buildings were taken too, my production is down. This makes sense. My question is, what is the right balance between having a enough land for solid production, and not being a target?

General Discussion / Combat for me (dummies)

I thought it would be a good idea to attack the free land, but low and behold, I found it was too big to attack! (Go figure)
Seeing this, I went to the score board and looked up all the people on there. They fell into 3 categories: Too Big; Too Small; and No Raiders. What would it take to get me to be big enough to attack an npc with no soldiers, and what does "no raiders" mean?

Thanks,

well, thanks. I learned that a friend of mine sent be like 5 million rats before I had any infrastructure. So I sold all them and built a 1k markets and now I'm good. Thanks for the help!

P.S. are workers like currency where I spend them when I build stuff? 'Cause when I built my markets, it said -70 workers.

okay, thanks, now I know how to get money, but how do I balance my budget? I sold 3 million rats, and while my food production is now in the green, my money is still in the hole. What am I spending money on?

P.S. My name is Aurrelius, just like here (keeps things easy for me) but charity, while very kind, doesn't help me in the long run.

General Discussion / noob question

I have been noticing that I have been loosing more cash than I make. Therefor I spent quite a few turns looting and buying markets. However, now I find myself without any money! Is money accumulated over time, or purchesed directly with turns via looters?
Thanks

Greetings,

My name is Aurrelius and I am a Ferret from across the sea. In addition to my name, I was also given a number at birth, 1110, quite easy to remember really! I have heard of great riches and bounty to be found on this island from some old ship mates of mine (King Oogabooga and dirtbik) and I look forward to joining the quest for plunder before returning to the great blue!
