Title: Voter Turn Out
Post by: Briar on May 22, 2014, 07:35:05 PM
Woo-Hoo! Oregon had a 32.8% voter turnout. The lowest in half a century!!!

I'm just curious what the voter turn out in other people's state was?

What was this a vote for? Is it mid terms elections in America yet?

We had a European election here recently though, and the turnout for that was a dismal 34.17% ... the results were pretty interesting too (a broadly euro-skeptic right wing party won, even grabbing a seat in left wing Scotland)

Can't Barrage the Farage.

It was a US primary election to determine candidates for the mid-term election. Most people don't show up for these, you can only vote for one party's candidates. We don't do seats like the UK does, the US actually individually elects every representative on a district by district basis.
