Why would you put milk in BAGS when you can put it in something that already SEALS like a GALLON CONTAINER.
You are supposed to drink it all in one sitting.
If you drink a gallon of milk in one sitting you will die.
Depends on the sitting? And you could share it with friends.
The thought is it is more sanitary because you aren't opening and closing the container like you do a jug.
I suppose you could share it with friends. Although if you're one person you're opening and closing your bag probably so it'd be just as unsanitary
Well, I don't know if this is going to contribute anything to the discussion, but here (Argentina) the milk that is NOT bagged is very hard to come by, because is regarded as a major nuisance (I'm guessing that that's because the containers are very easy to break).

How do you close the bags?

Speaking favorably of bagged milk is against the rules and will result in excessive editing and deletion in order to make you speak ill of it.
You have been warned.

Golly gee I love bagged milk it is my favorite beverage in the whole world.
Love it. Don't know why anyone would store their milk any other way.

Yes, but most commonly in glass jugs.
Can you take the glass bottles and refill them?

Yes, but I have never done such thing because, as I said before, those are really hard to come by.
Can you get milk refills in any container? Or do they have to be specific?
I'm guessing that they would have to be same containers, but I honestly don't know.
I may have to visit this Argentina of yours
I dont like milk
Any kind?
Any kind.
How will you get strong bones and also eat cereal?
I dont eat cereal or anything for that matter
I eat my cereal dry, usually
Depends on the cereal.
Cow's milk isn't that great for you compared to other sources of calcium.
It sure tastes good though. What source of calcium do you like, Briar?
Ground up fossils probably
That would be rock Ungatt and I like my teeth.
I'm a big fan of goat cheese.

With tomato in general tbh.
Homegrown is preferred.
My mom tried to grow tomatos and did okay but not well enough to continue. So now we just use the farmers market.
you can grow them upside down in a 2 liter bottle from your porch. Works pretty well.

I use bagged milk :)

I also use bagged milk!
There's actually no need to drink it in one sitting as long as you have a clean fridge. If your milk is going bad overnight, you need to clean it out ^_^.
Finally summoned the shadow of the north.
Took long enough
whatever for!?
We happen to enjoy your company.
An Ungatt wants to annex your country, what's new ::)
My university uses bagged milk in its main dining halls. I would bet that most universities follow a similar approach

Yeah mine does too, actually. They put it in the machine.

Which is actually just a fridge. Food service work-study knowledge :)
My parents took my mini fridge from my dorm and over summer are keeping it in the living room to store beer in.
your parents seem pretty OK
That's not nearly as mini a mini-fridge as I thought.
It's an alright size. I mean you can't keep a lot and sometimes you have to play Tetris with leftover boxes but it's good. Keeps your ice cream frozen too.
That is one fancy mini fridge
Thats because it was in my college dorm. It was nice. I like the little thing on the side I could fit soda cans in.
They sell milk at the dollar store......shelf milk with a shelf life of 2 years.

ew why. I just get milk from Publix in the gallon and it only lasts like 4 days because I drink so much milk. Otherwise it'd be good for little while.
According to my sister who received her Master's in Dairy science, due to it's aseptic processing (which basically means it is cooked hotter than typical milk and then immediately placed in a sterile container) it does not need to be refrigerated.

I don't think I'd be comfortable doing that. Just like I wouldnt be comfortable in a driverless car.
I'm comfortable with driverless cars if all cars are driverless

That's a good point.
milk that has a shelf life of two years is not milk
what about powdered milk?

I wouldnt use powdered milk if my life depended on it.
well...if it originated from a mammal....

You want to know what else originates from mammals?
...hair?
My elementary school had bagged milk.
It sucked
Now that makes sense. How did they serve it?
In bags.
like you each got your own bag? Must not have been very big
Of course the milk bags weren't big. They're bags.
Bags come in various sizes.
Imagine getting a gallon of milk in a bag with your school lunch
That is exactly what I was picturing.
No, it wasn't a gallon of milk, it was a bag of milk.
but how big was the bag
As big as a bag of milk.
Circular conversation at its best.

I'd be afraid of accidentally tearing the bag.
They are pretty tough. I've dropped them on the floor before, no problem.
If Ungatt were here, he'd probably say "Unlike Canadians" or "At least something is tough in Canada"
Oh Canada, you are such a mystery to us Americans.
I havent seen Ungatt in a while :c
He hasn't even skyped me.

That totally sounds like Ungatt
He was prowling around here yesterday. Ofc he didn't post though.
I messaged him on skype but then went to the zoo.
he is probably at some commie convention or other
or possibly shooting things because freedom
I'm shooting things at a commie convention. Because freedom.
Wouldn't he be at an anti-Commi convention?
Why don't I have 1000 real posts yet on this forum I've been here since 2009.
Because spa is so much fun?
13 shy..You can DO IT
that's right!! If I can make like, 23,000 posts in spa, I can certainly make 17 more out of Spa.
Why do I have so many posts omg.
Think of all the words you have typed
So many words. Probably almost a novel's worth.
At a conservative guesstimate of 10-15 words/post, with (approx.) 23,000 spa posts that equates to 230000 - 345000 word total. To put this in perspective your novel is approximately 500-600 pages.
something to compare to (popular books with large word counts):
http://loopingworld.com/2009/03/06/wordcount/ (http://loopingworld.com/2009/03/06/wordcount/)
All numbers are based up what I could count/reference when making this post, and are to be taken with several grains of salt. The information in the link is rather accurate
Well that's kind of fun. So theoretically I've written a LOTR book by now. Far out.

Briar you only have 10,903 posts.
I know, right? and I've been around a year longer than you.
You're still the top poster in Spa I think.
