I think I'd go with the Sonic Screwdriver
Really? You'd rather open (non-wooden) doors than travel the whole of time and space?
the screwdriver is easier to hide than a TARDIS, and quite versitile to boot.

this
Have to be part timelord to work it though
well, if your imagination extends to owning one, surely you can go the extra leap of being able to work the controls
You could easily pay a time lord to drive it for you like a chauffeur
Which would mean you would need to look into the time vortex at a young age and hope that you don't go mad.
That is true. But according to current lore, there is only The Doctor. So....that may work for a bit.
And River Song, if you have gotten there. (sorry for spoiler)
I'd rather have the TARDIS. And if I have The Doctor drive it for me, that's a bonus. :P
But if you have a sonic Screw driver, and it happens to be the Doctor's then you can also have an adventure with him. (River had the Doctor's Sonic Scre Driver from the future)
The TARDIS has a screwdriver making machine.
Your argument is invalid.
Forgot about River Song.
I just don't see any Timelord willing to schlep ppl around.
I'll take the robot dog.
what is a k9 anyway? (I have no idea what a screwdriver is)
K9 is a robot dog. A screwdriver is what you use to drive screws into wood.
No, seriously. What's a k-9>
K9, in the show Dr. Who, is a robot dog. Seriously.
Also K-9 was a Dutch submarine, and K9 is generally the code for police dog units. For the Dr. Who robot dog and the police dogs. It's a pun on the word for dogs, "canine".

Well a screw driver is a tool that you drive screws with :P
K-9 was a robotic dog that kept the fourth Doctor and Sarah Jane company. He also briefly said hello to the 10th Doctor.
...and had a roll in the Sarah Jane Cronicles(Dr.Who spinn-off)
Really? I feel stupid.
that's because you haven't watched Doctor Who.
Nowadays everything's a screwdriver.
SHOSH
So guys, what do you think about that new Doctor Who ep?
Which one, I know of no new episodes
Cam, there is a Doctor Who discussion in GD.
Yeah, get it right.

I don't think the Doctor would mind being in two places at once.
He get's confused...only to boost his own ego and compliment his outfit.
Which shouldn't be complimented.
