Definitely The Thing.  I might watch it this weekend, actually.

I'd say Predator's more of an action film rather than a horror film, though.

P.S. I Chose Freddy because killing people in their dreams is badass, but he only kills people in the town where he lived.

I always thought the story of Frankenstein's monster was really sad. Particularly in the book, which I'm re-reading at the moment for college. :(

Yeah Ive read FM a bit and it never really struck me as horror. Ranks Monster is a sad being whos really human inside.
Of course I regard Shelleys FM and Hollywoods FM as two completely diiferent beings. They have stripped away all of its humanity.
I hate hate hate zombies. I dont even know why but I think its just the emptiness, the mindlessness. That said, I am currently writing amorbid fantasy with zombies as the main enemy, but theyre very different.

Freddy, because it actually happened. Sort of. Craven based it off the reports of Khmer refugees who were having nightmares, then refusing to sleep, and when they finally did sleep, dying. Before I knew about this, Freddy Kreuger was just another bad guy in a slasher movie. After I learned about this, Freddy freaked me the heck out.
