display troubles

If you find any little display glitches, post them here!

If any of your display bar boxes (cash, turns, food, etc) get too big, the ones on the end get pushed off the bar into no man's land and mess with the display of stuff below it.

The only problem I have is that you can't click from one box to another. Is it supposed be like that? Because I have to refresh the page and it brings me back to the menu thing.

when you click on use turns and the options below pop up, you cant then click on another option from the bar that makes another set of options pop up below again

For example, if I clicked Use Turns, and have the box up, and I try to click Diplomacy, it won't do anything.

Serves you up a slightly different page to if you visit the forums and click the "Home" link in the top left hand corner. Clicking the home link top left displays a menu bar, search box and news item which are all not present when visiting the former.

Also another very strange bug, if say I click the "Diplomacy" menu entry, the Diplomacy stuff comes up below, then if I click the "Use Turns" menu entry the Use turns stuff comes up below, however if I click on the "Diplomacy" entry again nothing changes. Strangely it seems that you can work from left to right of the menu absolutely fine, but if you start at the far right (Finance) and click on menu items to the left of it absolutely nothing changes (hope this makes sense)

turns out that message is being displayed anywhere trying to access the portal of rwl

Pippin - Ollie had issues with his sftp client. Should be resolved, unless he breaks it again.

Sharpy - Known display issue with the index, I'll fix in a bit.
The rest I'll let Ollie handle.

Pippin that game login error was just because I was making live changes. See if you can make it happen again.

Menu display problems
I know why it's behaving like this, and the solution is javascript and nobody on RWL knows javascript. I'm going to try to get a friend to help me with the menu because I really really like it, but it will only work if it is more intuitive.

I will hopefully fix the "home" link today.

And I can fix shadow's statsbar problem. I'm wondering how many resources you must have it they're overflowing (I'm assuming this is with your admin account that carries over throughout the ages).

game guide needs a significant overhaul, but ya I never bothered putting the url in for that, lol.

I kind of know JavaScript (I just haven't had the time to look in depth at the JavaScript that creates the menu functionality). Personally I'm a little surprised you used pure JavaScript though and didn't opt for a framework!

Oh no, it uses very little javascript at the moment. I am an HTML CSS guy myself. All I used was a show/hide js code I ripped.

What I need are two things. One is that I need it to hide /all/ before it shows 1 (that will make it so you can click from 1 to the other, which is one complaint) The other thing I want it to do is make it so that 5 seconds after you are no longer hovering over the menu, all the drop-down stuff hides itself.
