I have changed my indy strategy imensly.... My point is that as an indy, you cannot make any progress run to run, unless you have someone buy all of your troops off of the market every run. It's not worth it to support yourself and sell to mercs.
If you are absolutely set on not raising the merc prices then i beg you to consider the reserves like in faf, or something to that extent... Maybe even "sending a limited amount of troops out on a special mission and coming back 100 turns later" for a loyalty cost or something.
And the fact of the matter with the market thing is, you can never really stop people from passing troops over it...If you make your troops automatically appear at the market then that only fuels the way to go around the aid limits(duh!?).
