It's held at Valhall once a year, and is not a Valhall code exactly. It's pretty much a QMT Classic code with a little more ease of use, and that was chosen so most games wouldn't have to learn a bunch of weird bullshit.

STONES SUCK!!!
Don't make me find you and do things that you won't remember until you're 40.

To what I consider actual rock, not "series of sounds intended to excite" I'll say the Stones.

General Discussion / Why bother?

I've been wondering this for the last 5 minutes or so after talking to an old Prom buddy about us maybe popping into QMT again for a set, why do you play Prom?

Personally, I don't. Started 5 or 6 years ago and really only enjoyed 3 or 4 of those years, the rest was dealing with whiny and cheap players who just aid people for wins, instead of people actually getting the rank that they earned. I think this was more of a problem at Valhall and WGZ than anywhere else, but those were my main games so I got plenty of it. Taking them down is only satisfying until you realize they'll never stop so long as they have players willing to help them. Now when I go to any Prom site it's really just out of boredom, or for a little hit of nostalgia. Seems like the quality of the games and the quality of the players themselves has gone [what I consider] down in the last few years and I was just never a big fan of spending my time playing against people who have no idea what they're doing. Part of the problem with my activity might be that from day one I had a clear goal, which was to take a win on every Valhall server, and once I did that I just kind of said screw it.

Forget that. Texhnolyze.

Though I do watch Inuyasha a bit, by the time it comes on I am so tired paid programming could entertain me.

He does pretty simple work. Takes the password you used to register and tries it on every account he can find of yours anywhere on the internet, gives out your IP (he's kind of a scrub "wannabe" hacker and thinks that it matters I guess) and anything else he can do to annoy you. In my case, the password I registered with was the same pass I used on that particular email, used only for impersonal forum accounts, Promisance and the like, then he found my name by means of what I consider stalking and started posting my full name, phone number (attained via Google) and all sorts of other trivial information around.

But he thought I was retarded, after 5 minutes I figured out who was doing it and had dj3sp shut down three or four times in one day and scared the [poop] out of his host of the moment, then got his phone number, full address, things like that, contacted him to show him that I had them, and offered him a chance at keeping me from screwing with him if he did something so minor as telling me what he changed the passwords on my accounts to and cutting it out. He thought it was a good idea. Game over.

He used my account to delete every post on the Valhall forum though, which is why SOME EVIL MAN abused a variety of bugs in his Prom. That was a fun night. Come to think of it I still have all of his info on a CD around here along with an mp3 of We Are the Champions.

Edit; and the cheating staff member at QMT was soljern, Awayboys' brother.

d3jsp, are you guys retarded? The admin has stolen login info from other Prom players in the past and used it to get into their accounts in other games, on other forums, into their emails, all kinds of things.

You mean the clan competition that is no longer held due to poo turnout?

Just kidding. I remember when RWL was doing pretty well in it, you earned your places.

I've always wondered, why do Prom players brag so much when they don't really have much to brag about in the first place? One of those things I never figured out.
