Strategy / STRUCTURES
February 17, 2003, 09:09:03 AM
Goody. Structures. another important issue in the game.

if you're still under protection, mass up on some troops and towers- but concentrate on markets. markets=good.

Barracks: duh. Having a couple o' thousand is fine.

Camps; Make up for networth loss- have about 2.5 camps for every three barracks. (My cauculator never lies).

Tents: Mass up on them- a lot.

Foragers: Improving net is everyday stuff if you have around 500 of these. Some empires are consisted totally of foood!

Guard Towers: Towers are your best friend. Mass up on them.

Anyone has different ways of looking at buildings?

Strategy / Species...
February 13, 2003, 09:49:34 AM
People going majorly offensive enjoy the lizard (barbarian frnezy) and it's +18% offence power.

Defencives enjoy the wildcat with it's +16% defence.

Then there is also the Flitcheye with the ability to burrow for protection- AND an offencive bonus of 20%!

Half-halves will like the ferret with it's 10% defence and offence.

Wildcats and LIzards - as well as foxes- are the most popular species tha t I've seen.

Wildcats: Pressgang. My favourite...

LIzard: Barbarian frwnzy. Really useful if you have a ton of loyalty and a thorn in the back warlord in your paws..

Fox: Falsify Documents. It is annoying- but useful for them strategic peeeps.

If given choice I'd use Widlcat or Lizard. I'm currently Lizard- I might just revolt...

and YOU?

Role-Play / Redwall:Warlords style rp?
February 13, 2003, 09:23:02 AM
(nothing to do with da original game, so you can: attack, kill, blah blah...mind you, you might offend the warlord and get an angry mob on your tail.)

The lizard's dry scales scratched at the ground, rattling with the slightest wind and movement, his deep royal purple cloak trimmed with gold billowing in the wind. His army at his back, seemingly unarmed, was not far behind him on his position on the tall Plateau.

He awaited the other warlord and his unarmed army, as agreed. A simple diplomacy statement of peace. At least that was what any onlooker would think. A battle could be fought by eye contact alone in skilled fighters- even fighting with thought, immaginary battles to settle an argument.

Silently, patiently, he waited.

Strategy / DIPLOMACY
February 09, 2003, 12:48:45 AM
In  just about ALL warlord games, DIPLOMACY is the most important thing- right next to your army, of course.

DIPLOMACY is nessarcy to have good alliances- and have chances at betrayals. Infact, Diplomacy simply means your relationship to another army.

However, it is a double edged sword- using it can sometimes mean death for you!

Some things to DO about Diplomacy:

Use it for allyship. Have you seen a desperate, small, lingering clan? All of them put together with your clan could have a nice, big alliance.

Unwritten allyship. This is also a wee bit of a don't- it leaves space for betrayal. This means that your allyship is  not shown on the game, but you're allied all the same- or so you think.

Defence power: A huge clan and all sharing forces...wow....

SOME THINGS TO NOT DO ABOUT DOPLOMACY:

Betrayal. You might be tempted to do so, but if you do- before you know it an angry mob will come and crush you. SOmetimes they thinkt hat the whole clan is goign to betray them- and you're the cause of the downfall of your clan!

HALF AND HALF:

fakers. Fake truces to lower their guard and then quickly attack. Mainly warlords use this when their 'allies' aren't online, killing them before they come online...

PROS: An excellent way to lower their guard!

CONS: Fail and you'll have and angry mob on your bush tail.

Convincings: aye, this is one I use often...you've been in a clan. It's so weak peeps are starting to leave. They get desperate. You leave and join another clan- then offer the hand of peace to them.

PROS: fwee! another ally!

CONS: can't think right now.

Diplomacy is a useful weapon- and some warlords don't even know what it is!

Next on 'Stratergies'....episode three. 'STRATERGIES: NAVAL, FRONTAL AND BOMBARDMENT'

bwahahahahaha.

Help / Bugs / Networth Loss
February 09, 2003, 12:01:25 AM
AAAAH! HELP! I don't dare to do loot now (no matter what I still get a minus as a result)....I'm losing a million per turn, is there a way to stop that?

Strategy / GUERILLA STRIKE
February 02, 2003, 10:40:49 PM
 RATS.

Most warlords find no value in this dumb, stupid and rather weak unit. They are quite right if they have only a few rats.

GUERILLA STRIKE, in my opinion, is the most Important and powerful attack. To have extremely sucessful geurilla strikes, set your RAT TRAINING SETTINGS to 95%[/COLOR] and skiffs to 5%.

I have over forty thousand rats which increases by a thousand with every five turns on rough estimation! Have around seventy barracks.

Bugs / PREPARE RAIDERS
February 02, 2003, 10:36:49 PM
Prepare raiders- I have loads of huts and a seemingly unlimmited source of loyalty...but when ever I Prepare my raiders at least eighty of my leaders are killed and the mission is foiled. How is that possible?
