Title: Game Guide
Post by: taekwondokid42 on June 29, 2013, 06:56:41 AM
This is for everything game guide related. My first post only pertains to 3.0, but the thread is open to reg game guide discussion as well.

I asked before but nobody responded. Can we have the first section adjusted to look like this?:

Game Basics
First 199 Turns
Entering the Battlefield
Learning Leaders
Running
Adjusting Settings
Keeping out of Trouble

Except for 'extras' you can delete the other pages. I'm also asking that the guide include a 'Strategy' section, with the following topics:

Indy
Foody (Fooder? lol say it out loud)
Casher
Passive
Aggressive
Tricks
Misc (for the moment you can copy-paste what's currently in 'Extras' into here, but most of the stuff belongs in other parts of the Strategy section)

Probably most of those will be stubs for the beginning.

"Extras" basically is the starting of a strategy guide.

What's wrong with "farmer"?

farmer is an RL occupation.

tbh I hadn't even thought of the name farmer.

forager could work too, after all we call people who mass leaders 'hutters'

btw you should add a 'hutter' category too.

you are literally the first person to use the term hutter ever

XD

but no seriously can we clean up the beginners guide?

except for the 'running' section that doesn't yet exist, I've re-written the whole thing to apply to 3.0, now it just needs to be ordered properly.

if windy doesn't get to it soon I'll try, I'm not really sure how the guide code is set up, but it wouldn't be too hard to find out.

Some time, somebody should put region bonuses in the guide. Or am I just missing that section?
