I believe it's his prerogative by the RWL rules, although very rarely enforced.

Thank you. Hum, Retto left. Interesting. Whee, I suppose. Or boo.

By the way, I'd like to point out who started spamming (by your definition): White Fang.
http://www.redwallwarlords.com/forums/index.php?topic=7794.msg117946#msg117946

Since nobody pointed out that that was spamming at the time, we assumed it was on topic. The topic of the code (flaming?) openness was brought up by Scarwake.

And the person who started flaming by the generally accepted definition is wolf bite.

There are differences between the download page code and new code, I have that on information from Retto IIRC.

Also, you got permission from Purgett. However, you did not obtain permission from the authors of QM, so the justification was invalid, as your code is based on QMT Promisance as well.

NO, I don?t think that was the last, there have been many since then. The last was someone breaking in, then making themselves an admin. They went further into the code and gave themselves limitless turns. Then deleted of all people ME as a demonstration of their supposed superiority. Let me think, I believe that person used their own name, had their IP traced and further admitted the crime. Humm, who was that again ? let me think ? oh yes, it was Beatles, the ruler of Frost and Flame. The biggest advocate in us giving him our code when he himself says there is nothing in it that is worth his time to read. So why would someone want it so bad?

I would object to this slander and libel. I did not hide my activities, I made a post about it in GD in big letters /hours/ before you even logged on, Wolf. I was not covert about anything I did. So stop with the "was traced" and "admitted" language. Good gracious, your habits have not changed at all.

Now, all of you are talking about offers and suchlike. I have not in any way, shape, or form offered any assistance to RWL. Devari has, out of the kindness of his heart, made you an independent offer, not representing the FAF staff. If he were to help, it would not be on behalf of the FAF staff, and I have absolutely no intention of helping in any more than a cursory way. I also refuse roundly to look at the BAXX code and work on it. I have even stopped development of FAF, so do you really think I would offer to help RWL?

There's no need to bring up the old flame-wars. Some things are facts and some are not, so let's confine ourselves to the former.

Now, a more important issue for RWL is the question of the source. Legally speaking you are indeed obligated to release your source code. This is because it is based on QMT, which is under the GPL (as old Promisance versions were). The only right you have to change that is if you email ALL contributors to BAXX: i.e. PC Purgett, the QMT authors and contributors, and Retto and ask their permission. Until then it is under the GPL and you are under obligation to give the source to anyone who asks for it. Wolf knows this better than I do, as he's a lawyer and probably has an understanding of copyright law.

Excellent! Only about 54 left, by my latest estimate.

Not trying to knock your code or anything.

???

Shael is going over code? {The statement which was previously here has been removed due to Personal Attacks on more than one member of RWL} I doubt that, even given all her other abilities and given her willingness, she can handle that task well.

Well, anyways, you're in a state of flux just now, and no doubt have more thorough plans for the future. I doubt you'll be making many code changes until you do find someone though.

Edit: Please note that personal attacks will not be tolerated on the forums.

Righto, I stand corrected on the "Redwall" point. I still maintain it's ambiguous at best, but never mind. That and the ridiculously high estimate of members just comes off as arrogant if you don't mind me pointing it out. Then again, perhaps it's prejudices based on the past catching up with me.

We can re-create the section of the FAF forum for discussion of relations if you like. I believe the ball was in your court when discussions halted, but maybe we weren't getting anywhere. Feel free to PM me to re-create the section.

Thanks for posting the link to this, Bjorn.

I agree with what he's said, I just have some comments to make on Wolf's post. You three admins do not lead "Redwall", merely a small Redwall site with about 30-40 active members.

Also, in its heyday it had up to 150 members, not 500.

Otherwise, this posting seems to be merely a formalization of the de facto situation.

Did the same this game in the 7th minute, but Italy were clearly supreme. His sending off for a headbutt hardly did much to sway the match, with 10 minutes to go. Pity it had to go to penalties, but in this case the better team did prevail.

Actually, apart from when I'm on "vigilante duty", I always attack for the dude with the most land/resources for me to take, relationship irrespective. Ask Blood Wake on that. ;)

Not that anything like that actually happened this round.

I should know, I sacked it off you.

But if I was mistaken, just prove it by playing without Josh this round, and you can more securely claim skill in March. Seriously. I'll stop accusing you, but having played with Josh doesn't help your image. Just play independent for a round -- I won't, so there's no chance of sabotage. ;)

Oh yes, Retto, it might have been a good idea to hit 'Update Ranks' before saving the round results... what with hourly rank updates...
