Title: In need of a Turbo Clan....
Post by: Juska on June 07, 2008, 08:28:42 PM
I've decided to come back and play this set and so I'm offering my services up to whoever wants me in turbo. I know what I'm doing. I like playing the losing side.

Join Corsair. We're the underdogs, and are in need of help. P.M. me (Saladin, #10) for the password.

Smile could use you, but I wouldn't suggest wrath. Corsair are new so they'd appreciate your services best though.

Eire always welcomes good indiers. If you change your mind about the underdog thing, let me know.

dont see why we're classed as the favourites to win, being top now means nothing for later on

Yes, but not many clans are orgnaized, and eire look by far to be the most organized at the moment.
Then again, there's still another 20days or so, anything could happen.

Yes, but the way you aid is organized. :D
Other then that, compare the stats. Smile are the only clan anywhere near, abbey probarbly would be but they're all peaceful(only shael is even attacking for land)

stay solo because this game has goten allot more violent sence u left and It would make u more vulnerable to join a clan now and it realy isn't worth it unless your highlty ranked in a clan.

Kind of like how it really isn't worth it for you to post messages on here if you can't put together a grammatically sound sentence that isn't filled with 17 typos per word.

How about you leave people alone. You don't look cool by correcting people's spelling mistakes it makes you look like a cocky fool.

Leave the kid alone.

Checkerpaw, you need to stop targeting random people and flaming them.

Kind of like how it really isn't?  Your english teacher would murder you.
Seventeen typos per word is inaccurate, as it seems most of his words are under four characters.  Hyperbole is out of the realm of possibility; ie, millions of typos per word.  Seventeen looks like you counted them.
You should have used 'which' rather than 'that'.
The 'on' in 'on here' is not needed.  In fact, the whole thing can be removed as the place where messages are posted is assumed.
"Messages" can also be nuked, as what's being posted is easily inferred.
A 'you' can be scratched too, as the subject doesn't need to be stated twice
Most of the small words can be condensed, you've got oodles of them
Really, "per word" can go too.  Its there to make a point, but its not really needed
Focus on removing fluff from your sentences.

So.
"Kind of like how it really isn't worth it for you to post messages on here if you can't put together a grammatically sound sentence that isn't filled with 17 typos per word."
vs
"Like how it's not worth posting if you can't create a grammatically sound sentence without millions of typos."

Technically yours isn't -wrong-.  But.  If you're going to go about criticizing spag you'd better be flawless.

My posts have cleaned up since firefox got a spellchecker.  Otherwise I don't really bother.
Focus on the content of the post.  Picking on grammatical errors is a last resort tactic used when you have nothin left to say.  Its rather childish.

Thomas, please spell out 'u'.  It'll take you a few more seconds.  Alternatively I've thought of having it added to the word filter

....

In turbo clans are still a must
Otherwise all your targets end up maxxed.  If most of the land is in clans you can always get a decent amount when you go to run.

Heh, Windy your hilarious. I love ya man. :D

I think in turbo clans are pretty essential. It keeps the land flowing really good and makes the land easier for us all to grab and use.

I actually agree with alazar and snare, tom's spelling is bad, but he's young. What's in the post matters, not how many typos it has ::)

Its common sense.

Also, do not double post.  I know you know better than that, and that rule is actually in the books

edit- you know, this topic is done
there's no hope of getting it back on topic, I'm locking

Note to all though, watch the flames.
