Polling / n00b, newbie, or newb
March 05, 2003, 02:39:44 PM
 I hate it when newbies:

1) Make no attempt at spelling correctly (everyone makes a mistake every now and then)
This is probably the most annoying trait of a newbie.  I normally just skip whatever they have to say cause it's obviously not important enough to them to spell out correctly.

2) Uses excessive !!! or ??? or ////???? or @$%&$%#@ or any of the stupid l33t spellings
Okay, so maybe on your birthday, !!! is okay.  But really, guys...50 of them?  If you're that excited, you must be in some kind of sugar-induced coma.  If you're that confused, you must be a moron anyway.  And if you think that a random jumble of symbols is going to get your point across, you're high on sugar and stupid.

3) Acts stupid by being irrational and misinformed
I'm not taking about opinions here.  I'm talking about making blatent accusations based on nothing more than "He said..." or "Someone told me...".  Lose it, guys.  It gets old.

4) Acts stupid
Spam wars, billions of smiley faces, etc.  I think you get the picture.

5) Whines
What part of War in Warlords don't you understand?

6) Whines more after being told to shut up
No one's going to spoon feed you.  If you want to be spoon fed, go play one of those kiddy games where everyone's a happy winner.

More later, perhaps, as more newbies anger me....

Cool!  I kept the same name cause it's never going to be the name of my horde.  Although there's got to be something said for matching your board name with your horde name...makes things easier *L*

Krull is right, Incog.  Racial slurs make it pretty clear where you stand if you use them.

Yes, if Tarsonis felt like he couldn't break you, he would have done leader attacks before actual attacking.  It's backwards there.  Quit worrying.

I think you're a pretty bad leader, Scarwake.  This kind of indecisiveness in a situation that will break your clan is not good leadership.  If people don't like your decision in your clan (as you pointed out you were worried about them retaling on you), there are plenty of other clans they can join.

 Thanks, Deathclaw.

Scarwake, you want your assistants to run things in your absence?  Again?  And have them tell you all sorts of stories about this and that?

As for your members - if they think you're a good leader and respect your decisions as leader of the clan, they'll stay.  If they think you made the wrong decision, they'll leave and weed out the good members from the bad in the blades.

But at this point in time, I don't think things will be going well for the blades.  You've already proven your leadership to me.

You're the leader of the clan.  You've heard all the different stories.  Each side is going to say that theirs is right, so there's no point in trying to set the facts straight.

But you're the leader.  If you don't want war, call it off.  If you do want war, keep going.  Show some leadership, okay?

Strategy / Why KM thinks?
February 25, 2003, 06:30:06 PM
Scarwake, here's some observations which you might want to think about:

"And no offense but I could easily take you down to just as little if I wanted, matter of fact I made you loose atleast 1500 acres today."
Yeah, okay, 1500 acres or more is a lot of land to lose in a day.  Try gaining that in just one attack.  That's when you can sit back and gloat.  At your (or any of the other blades) status right now, you're in no position to do that.

"And older is not always wiser."
If you're so great, how come you're not #1 by now?  Ah, well...not everyone is that motivated.

"As for the killing thing, once again this is Warlords and that's whats gonna happen, so no offense when I say this but if killing isn't your thing then maybe you shouldn't be playing this game?"
Everyone needs a land source.  Cripple someone and he'll bounce back and you can cripple him again.  Only kill if you absolutely hate him.

And one final thought: Don't get so upset.  It's a game.  So what if someone hates you or your clan?  People hated DI when it dominated the Top 10.  Now, hardly anyone cares....

Strategy / Why KM thinks?
February 24, 2003, 02:21:48 PM
It's a game.  It says "Warlords".  What part of "warlords" sounds friendly or fair?  Is war even fair?

Propaganda has always been a big part of major war campaigns.  Despite the unnecessary rantings from various people (not just KM members) about multis, rack it up to propaganda.

And also, complete dedication to offense pays off from the initial onset of the game, but after people starting building up and the game gets bigger, it's a stupid strat.
