General Discussion / Re: What computer games do you play?
September 16, 2011, 11:27:14 AM
Most of my gaming is done on a console (Xbox, generally, but also Wii and DS). When I do play on a computer, it tends to be simulation games, strategy games or the occasional MMORPG. Some computer games I've been playing lately: Sims Medieval, Spore, Dofus 2 and Civilization 5. I also enjoy playing Angry Birds and Doodle Jump when I'm on the go, but I don't play games on my phone often, because it drains my battery so quickly.

I like Portal because it makes me think, but I never finished the game. Anyone played Portal 2 yet?

The quality of this test is debatable, but I've always found it fun.

INFJ
Introverted   Intuitive   Feeling   Judging
Strength of the preferences %
89   25   25   44

You are:

    very expressed introvert
    moderately expressed intuitive personality
    moderately expressed feeling personality
    moderately expressed judging personality

The description is moderately accurate, but I don't believe I'm quite as extreme as they paint the typical INFJ.

"Counselors have an exceptionally strong desire to contribute to the welfare of others, and find great personal fulfillment interacting with people, nurturing their personal development, guiding them to realize their human potential."

"INFJs are champions of the oppressed and downtrodden."

General Discussion / Re: What TV shows do you watch?
August 11, 2011, 08:39:03 PM
Hmm... that's in my Netflix queue as well, but I haven't gotten around to watching it. I'm afraid my expectations of Robin Hood TV shows/movies are forever tainted by the animated Disney Robin Hood movie circa 1973. I've come to like the Robin Hood story much more as a comedy than a drama.

Keeping the thread going with:

- CSI (the original)
- NCIS
- Bones
- Castle
- Eureka (just heard season 5 will be its last)
- Warehouse 13
- Sanctuary
- Top Chef
- Iron Chef America

My current love is Leverage. So happy it was picked up for another season.

I had been watching Lie to Me, but then Fox went and cancelled half their lineup. Ah, well... such is TV.

I watched The Goonies repeatedly as a kid. Rewatched it recently and liked it even more, but that could just be the nostalgia factor.

Princess Bride is another one that I watched a lot as a kid and one that I appreciate more now as an adult. I never read the book until I was an adult (for shame, I know), and it made me appreciate the movie even more. It's such a great adaptation.

Hook is one that didn't age well with me. Loved it as a kid, but I watched it with my cousin a few years ago and ended up reading a book through most of it. It was just terrible. Predictable, plodding storyline and a bunch of bad child actors.

Polling / Re: X-Men or Heroes?

X-men! Heck yeah! ... I have a thing for heroes. I watched seasons 1 and 2 of Heroes, but the characters duck up so much that it started getting on my nerves. Funnily enough the show that I watch the most is MASH (they're heroes of another sort).

It's kind of refreshing, since I've got such a short attention span with this game. I get to start all over now. ^.^

Do I sense a pun in our midst??

;) Can I help it that I love the puns?

The Knight clan amuses me. Nothing wrong with a no-holds-barred approach to the game. I find it stimulating.

No worries. Like I said, I was asking for it. I might actually be one of the few who doesn't mind dying. It's kind of refreshing, since I've got such a short attention span with this game. I get to start all over now. ^.^

Yes red fang, I messed up. I got her confused with someone else.
On a side note, I'll mess christian warrior mouse up if he kills anyone else

I brought it on myself really. I was screwing with everyone, especially people in the Knights clan (my clan was at war with them). I wanted to have some fun, so I was attacking people as much as possible, though I only attacked people online if they attacked me online, but since I leave myself logged in while I'm at work, it wasn't really fair. ^.^ Of course, I'm not really a good player, so I don't think I was doing that much harm... more like getting 10-15 mosquito bites: annoying and aggravating, but essentially harmless in the long run.

Nope. Didn't delete. It definitely said that my army had been destroyed and then gave me chance to either delete my account or revive my account. Needless to say, I revived myself ready to do it all over again.

Well, I finally got what I was trying to get since I came back: Some one killed me! W00t!

Nothing funnier than logging into your account seeing umpteen attacks on you and then a final message that says your army was destroyed. And it only took me breaking just about every unwritten rule about fair play. ^.^

Polling / Re: Can you name a famous violist?

Try searching Google; it comes up with a lot more. ^.^

I couldn't name any famous violists but then I couldn't name any famous violinists either. So much good my music appreciation class did me.  :-\
