So if you don't already know who I am on reg, I am sure you can guess now.  I have been trying to climb the ranks by myself with no aid, allies or friends.  Today I made the top 3.  Yeay!!   I tried taking bounties for a while but it wasn't very profitable.  It is a much different game when you play alone, thats for sure.  And honestly I think there are only a 2-3 strats that will work alone, and at least one has been forgotten.  Anyway, best of luck.  Let me know when it resets.  and sorry for murdering and poisoning...well not really...it was my only way to the top ;)

Hello redwall, old friends, foes and farmers ( or happy pony raisers ) :P

It's been a longgggg time.  I bring good news and some old news.  But first the new!  Yes I am spawning a new Emperor!  haha.  The wife and I celebrated our year and a half marriage with the introduction of a new family member.  :)




Well a little about what has been going on.  I am still in school....ughhhh.  I am one year into my PhD.   2 more to go.  I am actually teaching this semester, and am pretty nervous about it.  I never thought teaching would take some much prep work.  I have a lot more respect for them than I ever have.  

As for the old news, I have had a month between classes this summer and did some reminiscing and wandering on the internet and thought....redwall!  So I came back to check it out.  There must be a whole new generation now.  But I still see some oldies.  Anyway about the old stuff.  I saw some postings about rwl history and such and went back through a bunch of my emails from years back to see what I could find.  Yes, Shael, I am going to toot my horn.  One of these days you will have to look back and think, he wasn't all bad........nah.  j/k luv ya shael.  

Ereptor's History ( as far as I could go )

Fall of 2002 -  Leader of TBV.  Trained by Fenix and Germania ( Ereptor's Raiders )

Somewhere between 12/02 - 2/03 there was a reset.

March of 2003  I claimed the throne as Ereptor.  I remember holding the top spot for a few months and then deciding to introduce a theme.  I was allowed to change my name to Sauron and ruled the game until I was defeated by Wolfbite and a tornado ;)  (i couldn't log on due to bad weather and couldn't put my defences up)  sufficed to say wolfbite had already drawn up a brilliant plan and his execution was flawless.  I fell.

I returned as emperor several more times, including one time where the game reset because I grew too powerful.

Hey peeps.  The place I call home was flooded this weekend and it still feels a little unreal.  Good news is that my wife and I are okay and we only have minor damage.  Bad news is we are the lucky ones.  If you want to help please text RED CROSS to 90999.  Pray for my town please. 

Ahhh.  My old friends.  Tis been awhile.  Well i'll make it short and sweet.  I got engaged last july and getting hitched next month.  I'm part way through my doctorate program and may begin to start teaching undergrad classes.  So that should some it up.  See a lot of familiar faces.  Cheers!

So I have noticed I have been losing land without being attacked.   I had 100k and something acres and then an hour later i had 96k acres without any attacks.  I thought it was odd and maybe somehow I had forgot that I had deleted some or something.  But I kept refreshing this afternoon and still could not find that anyone had attacked me to gain those acres. 

Now currently from 96k I have 49,413 acres WITHOUT any attacks.  So  I have lost over 50 acres of land and I can't figure how and where they went.  Any Ideas?

Ok neat idea.  Butttttttt....The crappy thing is now I have a ton of land and I am wondering....can I get attacked?  Cause I am pretty vulnerable now.  Also its seems that I was still able to use certain abilities and not others.  I can't construct or desctruct buildings.  I can heal and attack.  I also didn't seem to lose loyalty, cash or food after i was hypnotized.  I also was able to put my health over %100.  In order to maintain my own safety I think I am going to raise my health since it is allowed and since it is the only way I think i can protect my land at the moment.

Inactivity.  Such a shame.  I wonder if his friends can keep up the war or if they too will fall by the wayside. 

Since my first decree, which in my opinion was a simple one, there has been some terrific battles.  To me it looks as though the rebels, as I affectionately call them, have suffered major losses.  I would again like to remind anyone who is skilled and brave enough to make it to the top ten, which I consider my domain, please switch to Mossflower or you will continue to be hit like you did last night.  Last night anyone living outside of the Mossflower realm in the top ten was severely hit, and it will continue.  I will promise you that.  If you are concerned about making the switch, you may share your concerns with me, I am open to talk.  But I will also promise that if you do make the switch that you will not be targeted for unnessarry attacks; i.e. murdering, suiciding, poisoning and the like, unless you open defy my Emperorship.  In plain talk, it simply means, stay in mossflower in the top ten and mind your own business and you will be allowed to prosper.  As for the rest of you warlords in the bottom 40 I have this to say.  In the comming weeks I would like to either set up a clan, or sponsor a clan that teaches new people how to play the game.  By sponsor I mean that I would donate resources and even my personal time to further reg's culture.  Also If you post in "your Notice" page that you are loyal to the Emperor than you will be considered part of the Empire and you will receive benefits.  I will protect those who allowed me to become Emperor and of course that means my greatest generals first.  But it also means those of you who have done special missions for me, or asked for help, or want to learn how to play better can all receive benefits.

Well there has been a lot of hubbub going on.  I am taking my land and we are leaving, im also packing a lunch and taking my teady bear and putting all my stuff into this little backpack and well, well, well me and my teddy are going to be just fine!  We will live a happy life with 520,000 acres of land.  heh heh. 

I am going on vaca for a couple reasons. 
1. and this is so easy to blame it on. school!  I have a test that takes the past 3 years of stuff and puts it all onto one exam.  I have two chances to take it, but it would be nice to get it on the first try ( this saturday )
2.  because i have been acused of exploiting a bug ( clan hoping ) which I did, but i did not know it was against the rules.  I also searched in the forums after snare told me i was breaking a rule and was going to have me banned and I found nothing to say it was against the rules.  Then today Shael messaged me and said that it was in fact against the rules.  So i am not sure what to do.  I cant be clanned becuase i would lose all the land to leader suicides.  And if i go unclanned then I just become another emperor that sits and goes inactive.  Sooooo boring.  So I am sad that i dont get a cool war.  Bob, Snare and the crew you have definately been a great bunch of guys to fight against.
3.  Third reason is the almost everyone I am working with has messaged me today and said that school or work is creeping up on them and they cant play for the next week or two.  So its basically me and sometimes holby that would be on.

So all in all I thought it best to go on vacation and clear my head and hopefully come back and try to pray that a leader suicide bug will be fixed or fight bob and snare to the death and go out with a bang.  Because right now I am given either be clanned and die or go unclanned and be inactive blob with a lot of land.  Neither of those sound appealing.  Hopefully it will all blow over and my crew and I will resume our war with the hard fighting suicide bombers of bob and company.

And no worries Bob.  In no way do I have any intention of staying on vacation past the 82 hour mark or deleting my account with all this land.  We will get our last battle and it will make the mountains shake.

OOC To be honest I found myself reading the happy birthday redwall topic and I began to respond to it, but as i wrote I felt it should be moved here.  So i didnt post anything and copied and pasted here.

Im sorry but I guess im just being nostalgic.  I was totally bored and skipping my studies and dropped in on the forums.  I can't say I have been a huge part of the entire forums much.  I like reg forums, they have been good to me.  So our 6th birthday is coming up, it will also be 4 days before my 27th birthday.  Wow how time flies.  I remember joining redwall in the fall of 02, sitting on my dorm computer and searching redwall stuff.  I think I had found vulpine or something very similar prior to redwall.  It was a pirate game and you had your own ship.  I had played it over the summer and lost the site when I started college in chattanooga.  So I found redwall in either october or november.  I almost remember it being sooner, but maybe someone has a better memory than I.  In fact I didnt think I was even close to being one of the first people to join.  There was in fact stories of, well, i cant quite remember what they called themselves.  But they posted role plays and stories on the main page about how certain people became the emperors of the game.  I always thought I had coined the term emperor, but maybe I am totally wrong, maybe the old kings did.  Lets see if I can remember, StormClaw, errr.... man.  thats frustrating.  Ragefur!!  Retto also played.  Wow cool i remembered, and there was another.   hmm

Ok, I feel bad about doing this because I think I started doing this to people first.  It was a great tactic after people began to get good at leadering.  I had been doing leadering for awhile and had so much success that this was the only way I found that I could hurt someone that leadered as well.  Maybe Wolf started doing before me, I dunno.  But anyway to my point.

This means for every leader he loses he kills 1000 of mine.  Now dont get me wrong, but oblits army isnt that strong.  heh heh.  But seriously if someone is not doing the leader strat and is allowed to do that kind of damage.....it just seems unfair.  Now I know I am complaining while i sit on the top.  But in reality I am not sitting at all, its taken our team lots of hard work to get here and I would hate to see the next emp struggle with such a horrible bug.

I don't want this post to sound like im complaigning.  In fact during my 60 hour work week and in between homework and going to school I enjoy my 5 mins a day on rwl.  Its addicting in a way because its something to do.

I don't think of myself as an old person in this game, but now a'days I kinda do sometimes.  Other times I feel like I have ideas that could change the game.  I just don't have the time or dedication that the admins have ( God bless em ) to do something about it.  After all this being said.  I wish things would change.  I know someone is going to "move" this post to somewhere else because of its topic, but I do mean to bring this to the general discussion.

What is the regular server doing?  What are we fighting for?  What is the point?

The emperorship has become "I have the highest networth so therefor I am the emperor"....Young'uns that is not what it used to be.  An emperor held power and influence.  How you may ask?  Well some say it was because of my skill....WRONG.  I had just as much skill as others.  I used diplomacy, tactics, towers and wolfgang press :P.   So your thinking?  What is this post  about?  You just bragging about your reign of "evil"....  No no no.  My point is that people are sitting on top because of; stuff they have in the market, because they massed a particular troop, because they are holding everyones armies.  Not all of these people have claimed emperorship nor am i bashing anyone in particular.

But in case you haven't noticed I have been burtal in my tactics.  I have murdered handfulls of you people on reg and done huge amounts of damage imo.  My reasoning for this is simple.  I can't hold any leaders.  I get some land and make leaders in one run....then all my land is gone before i even get 100 turns.  Then I do it all over again.  I feel that our strats on reg are limiting.  There are no more HPR's that I know of anymore.  I do all this poisoning and murdering because its all i can do to stand up for myself as a leader strat.  I can't defend at all.  No one can.  Land is passed around so fast its hard to do anything. 

What i am suggesting is that we form some sort of group to look at the gameplay.  Im addicted but im not happy.  I would like more strats to be available to use.  I would like to see the "special abilities" actually be special and actually be used.  I think the admins to a great job keeping this game up and running and I know that there have been tons of things that have been done to make things look better and I love all that.  I really do.  But whats a warlord to do when he is faced with an opponet that he can't hurt because all of his stuff is on the market or whenever he builds an army and tries to use it everyone deserts because his economy can't handle it.  I dunno it just seems so hard to be a good evil warlord these days.

Course i could be way off and this could just be an old rant that will be forgotten by an old emperor who frequently forgets.

Ereptor's armies had begun to complain.? Not because they were hungry, tired or thirsty.? Rather it was the heavy weight of their swords on their belts and not in their hands.? It seemed like years since they had seen a real fight and not even the rumors of a great battle had stirred them up.? And then, just like cat springing upon its prey, the horns began to sound, captains banged on tent poles yelling and the noise of an army awakening could be heard for miles away.? The news had come that Wolf Snare had a formed a resistance.? In fact his army was not anywhere near the size of Ereptor's but it was a challenge none the less, at least the fierce creature hoped so.? At dawn the next day the armies met.? It was a one sided battle.? Snare it seemed had already been defeated and these armies were his last stand before he would have to go elsewhere to search for land.? The pounding began and didn't stop until night fall.? Ereptor sent for more troops sensing he could pound Snare back to the desolate area under which the weak snarled and scratched at each others feet fighting for a stream or a pond that would give water for their weakened troops.

Ereptor then sent the two messengers 6 hours apart to Wolf Bite's camp.? The first arrived asking for more troops.? Wolf Bite concurred and sent the armies with confidence and sadness, knowing that this would bring an end to the war, but also that by sending any aid to Ereptor he knew he had seen them for the last time.? Wolf was right.? The aid arrived shortly before dawn on the second day and went straight to the front lines.? Snare was pounded again by wave after wave.? The second messenger had arrived at the same time the aid had arrived to Ereptor.? He proclaimed to Wolf Bite that the war was over and Snare had been sent packing with nothing left but the clothes on his shoulders.? Wolf Bite declared the war over.? But the battle raged on.? Snare in full retreat, and Ereptor who had missed most of the beginning of the war, finally had his thirst quenched.? Or did he.

Out of the dust marched an army that was ready for war.? There had not come an army like this since Ereptor was a young cat.? The army had an eeriness about it and a bloodthirst in its eyes.? It marched on.? Bloodwake who had been a menace to Ereptor in the early days of this war was the first victim to receive the dark claw of Ereptor.? Others whom had allied with the Cat for the war were now closer then ever becoming his next victims.? WolfSnare himself after receiving some new troops had taken some weaker warlords land.? This was quickly dealt with and even when the troops cheered that Snare had been defeated once more Ereptor gain no order to retreat and those that disobeyed were swiftly dealt with.? The army under the shadow of the great cat marched on, *drum drum drum* the beats of the paws of the army against the ground, *drum drum drum* the black army marched to the dark mountain.
