Hiya,

RWL player from first era here. I always sucked at the game. I just set up a Promisance server with my friends, does anyone have any advice for strategy? Most of my friends are much better in that department than I, so I'm going to be quickly demolished.

I'm not sure why, but every couple of years I return to this forum and browse previous posts I made. It's like a well preserved relic of my past. It has actually been over a decade at this point since I first came around here. Back in those days, I had a lot of internet friends - but a long time as passed and many years without using the internet in that type of way - and now I don't think I have retained any!

There are at least a few familiar screen names around here...Kilkenne, Shael, wolf bite, Ereptor, Volkov, Holby, Peace Alliance, Volkov, windhound, Ashyra, I don't know who else. I remember chatting with a lot outside of the forum with Ragefur and that Josh guy, who was really a creep.

I really like RWL in the beginning because there were cool clans with cool names...Sons of Delor, Ratimic's Tribe, etc. I don't think it's fun when people don't put the time and effort into making fun names and characters or you know...capitalizing.

Actually, now that I look back, I've made a post like this like three times every two years. Haha! What is it about this place? Apparently people used to like me, but looking at the old posts, I feel like I was just kind of annoying, especially when I made those "I'm leaving and never coming back!" posts, and popularity contests.

So, since RWL, I went to culinary school and I work as a professional chef, but I'm getting burnt out due to 60-70 hour work weeks, no time off or vacations, etc., so I'm planning on joining Peace Corps or finding some other way to travel and trying to leave the traditional lifestyle thing I have going on. I went to Italy, Spain and Mexico a few times, which only cemented my desire to travel. I got married and promptly divorced, and have had a few boyfriends since then but nothing serious. I don't draw anymore, but I still make websites and I play piano/accordion/ukelele in my free time. Recently I've been brewing beer and cider, too! I'm trying to figure out what I can make a website about, or blog about, or something that might be interesting to others and a project I can do around the globe. I guess we're all kind of interested in leaving a legacy, right?

I'm seriously trying to understand this phenomenon, and I can't. However, I don't really want to watch My Little Pony. That sounds time consuming and high-pitched. So can someone summarize what's so epic and life changing about this show?

Sometimes I randomly get the urge to sign up and make an account, but that's probably because I still expect to see Sons of Delor, Kilk's Marauders, Ragefur, Ereptor, and all my friends from back in the day up there on the top ten!

I don't want to go back and look at my old posts because I'll be ridiculously embarassed.

Sometimes I get reminiscey and I have to come to RWL and just think about things that happened.  RWL was my life for a good half a year once upon a time, and now I don't keep in touch with anyone anymore! I live on only through Wolf bite's avatar and the forgotten fact that I was 2nd empress (although I don't think it lastest longer than a day so I can't exactly say I had an emperorship).

Stormclaw, Kilk's Militia, Ragefur, anyone remember that crude guy named Josh who used to play? I forgot his ingame name though.

Anyway, that was me reminsicing instead of working. How's everyone?

How many people are here that know me? Nohc said happy birthday to me on Facebook (generally, the only thing I really do check on the internet. As you can all see how much I neglect RWL...) so I decided to check this place out again. Well, I've had the greatest summer ever, 2 weeks in Pennsylvania, several road trips to Wisconsin and other nearby states, 3 weeks in Mexico, and I got an apartment in Chicago I'll be moving into soon! My 18th birthday was a few days ago, on the 9th.

This is a really neat thing. You just add yourself to the list thingie and it shows up...I don't know, I think it's nice. So we all realize how far away we are from eachother. Though I should zoom it out so Australia and Britain show up and the such.

*whisper* I like beards more than goatees...

At least, it has to be a pretty impressive (as in, well-groomed and pretty, not BIG) goatee for me to like it.

Oh, get this - I haven't been here for months, and then I posted once, and then it was a few months, and then I left for like a two month period before that one time - and I STILL have more than a 2.2 post-per-day average!

Wow, it felt so weird typing in Menatus as my user name. It's always either Tania or Forever Endeavor on anything else. Sweet! I miss RWL but it did steal a lot of my time, so...meh.
