I wonder what the messages Land Farm received said..

Thanks to Sevz for the 9 billion food. Jester for holding troops for me and his idea on a Land Farm win. Big shoutout to Sets! He made most of the aided food sent to Land Farm.

Much respect to Martin and Scorpion for a calm and peaceful round.

Awesome thank you!

Pretty simple spell. 10% of workers turns into troops.

What is special about this game originally is the Redwall series as that is what established the community. This then developed the rivalry and friendships over the game's code.  Now you have long time members like Shadow and Windy who have kept this game up as long as it does not inconvenience them.

That's what happened to other promisance games: Mawerick shut down Valhall games due to lack of sign ups and own declining interest.  Quietust shutdown Qmt because 1 specific player was trolling the forums and there was no forum moderator . Lord Corwin had his own game for a bit. Shut it down due to server costs.  Heck Shoot mentioned shutting his down due to costs as well.

Now this is my own opinion but generally promisance players are just toxic human beings. Needlessly belligerent, uncooperative, egotistical and quite often terrible at the game lol.

Redwall is different. likely due to the age difference. typical promisance players are jaded 30+ year olds while the redwall players were mostly teenagers who liked to role play as a furry warrior. Redwall was welcoming while other communities had palpable hostility.

But now in 2020 the server is lucky to have 2 active players for the month. Basically to answer your question: the server still runs so it survives, which is not equal to thriving.

I am collecting 2:1 retaliations on the behalf of Land Farm.

Shoot's server is a rework of qmt. Cashing strategy (markets and tents) is arguably the strongest networth finish, even out netting leader loot.  explore is significantly boosted and a land- diminishing returns counter makes multiple attacks less efficient vs pure exploring if gaining land is your goal.

As far as I know only 2 promisance games are up currently Rwl and Shoot's game.

Earth Empires with it's signature 'technology' mechanic is a completely different game from promisance. However the original promisance code was based on earth empires but removed research/technology ( which is a shame) There are a few (non-related) text based empire games like around.

Krowdon I believe you mean this game ?

A long and arduous round. Resistance was negligible until the last two weeks. We were broken by leader attacks and even weasel bombardments. A surprising tactic that paid off twice. (Kudos to whoever came up with it.)

I was doing all my runs on phone. This made foreign aid spam incredibly tedious. Sets had the same issue and was punished a few times for it mid-run.

Pleasantly surprised Sevz stayed to fight until the final day. He had enough leaders to mount a murder spree, possibly to turn it around before the round ended.  Drogon put up an excellent fight. Admirable breaking skills working with very little land.  I am unsure how reliable Sevz was as a teammate however. I know all too well how difficult it is to cooperate with him day to day :P

Some tactical advice I could give your guerrilla warfare offensive: utilize public market. Spam public market with rats and/or stoats. Have your teammate buy them when it is time to break/run.  Alternative to foreign aid spam when out of clan. Public Market cannot be standard attacked or chaosed away.  While we could buy your troops, we still have to deal with the cash you then aquire. It works very well as I used it personally.

Big thanks to sets who trusted my strategy until the end. The timezones made coordination difficult but we made it work.

Severe market changes were made to stop players from using the public market as a pseudo 'bank' aka storing troops/food. Solo and coordinated efforts to store on public market is now an inferior strategy.

Players can no longer recall goods. Instead they can be sold to mercs and mercs gives a much lower buy price than before. The prices are determined 'dynamically', by supply and demand.

For example the more food on the market the lower its price will be.  And if 90% of the food supply is bought the price of the remaining food will slowly increase.

Was only 2 this round; me and sevz. I couldnt lock land feasibly against sevz leader strategy. Pretty impressive really. He was slowly but surely making a surplus after breaking me every 3ish days and end of the month would eventually give him the win.
