Happy Birthday O venerable Land Farm!
Now to celebrate actualized adulthood by shooting holes through your respective voting ballot :D

Hi, welcome & so forth! :D
We're about 2 weeks from reset, but do familiarizing yourself w/ the in-game functions & then any questions therein reply here or message anybody in game via the mailbox. Beyond that, happy hunting!

I was Martin, I definitely thought about smashing everyone down to nothing... but I like the activity!
lol, then I totally thought you were Smoochies from the previous rounds xD

Kind of a late response to this thread (personally wanted to avoid over-posting as I feel like w/ the given, sporadic activity; I didn't want to oversaturate & appear unavoidably abrasive [but that could just be the anxiety talking ಠ_ಠ])...
Buuut, thanks for that bit of insight, it really helps me get some perspective on the state of things, being some guy that's come out of the woodworks wondering:Spoiler
But I guess this brings me to my final position -if I haven't already stated it elsewhere; anybody know of some ongoing, patreon-esque platform whose proceeds go to anybody still involved in development or simply hosting a functional server?

I believe 1st & 3rd responses were the first message, w/ the second reply being about Rhode Island iirc~
As far as suggestions, I wouldn't mind a nod to something along the lines of, "well, this one time I won a set when Sevz went AFK" or "I'm kind of a big deal, people worship me. Yeah, believe it or not, I'm effectively the deity of a cult of the land" ;P
Lots of other good ones in that Request thread, as well :D

Thanks to Sevz for the 9 billion food. Jester for holding troops for me and his idea on a Land Farm win. Big shoutout to Sets! He made most of the aided food sent to Land Farm.

Much respect to Martin and Scorpion for a calm and peaceful round.
I was totally gonna do a shoutout too, but you beat me to the punch ;)
I'll only add a thanks to you for helping to coordinate & convert many to the divine cause :)
& a special thanks to Krowdon for the small, but crucial encouragement & feedback I needed to really spearhead the movement :)
Thought it was cute so I saved a screenshot
Thanks for that; I love it xD
too bad it's responses were unfailingly to educate me on the definition of an acre~

I'm surprised I had more defenses than even the holy land (farm)... I must've been among the chosen :P
Hail Land Farm, may her seeds bear fruit

Your consistency indeed proves to be in your favor, but it's my belief that the perfect counter, in order to actualize the claim to the last word lies in the power of petty spite... Question is whom could be so spiteful as to qwoth it?

Krowdon was clearly winning with the last words... until I broke it; I seem to break alot of things~

Since the first season that beast & bird alike impressed their paws & claws unto Earth, so too has each sought to impugn upon the other. These vermin are not unlike those today, who seek to own the earth they stamp upon, going on to such lengths as to shed blood indiscriminately upon her face to vindicate their claims. This Land, which has bore more Dibbuns than can be named, is so prized in Southsward, that Mossflowerians & Northlanders both encroach upon her with inconceivably expanding territory. However, it is in her power alone to perpetually rematerialize upon this prime material plane. Everybeast will always, in some respect, inevitably come into conflict with other beasts, even kin, for it is this eventuality, this symptom of the corruption, which festers in our vermin hearts.
In spite of our infectious malevolence, the Land Farm remains pure. It is the Land Farm that is divine. In contrast to our verminal hatred, the Land Farm is love, sans condition. Therefore the panacea to disolve our corruption is, quite simply, for us to elevate the true source of life by returning to her bosom, as nature intends. It is the villainous vermin who must, especially, be decomposed by the worms & into worms they shall become fertile soil. And as the evil decays from each bone, so too shall we all become pure as the Land itself: without infirmity, without disease, without the savagery of war.

Game's really rather simple; if you've already made your Warlord, consider clicking the "Help" tab & that'll take you to a page that includes a quick, basic tutorial, wherein a straight forward "First 200 turns" should get you on the right track. From there, peruse the Strategy section for some great pointers &/or PM most of us in-game or in the forums (like for windy :) ) for any helpful suggestions if you get stuck~

I didn't notice a fox revolt; at the end a part of me was still hoping a move to elevate Land Farm meaningfully might catch on :P

The problem is most of the themes don't really work all that well with less than 20 active players, and we're lucky to pull five atm.
That is unfortunate, as some of those, like w/ the Badger, sounds like it'd've very much been a fun round~

In the past we've done membership drives, one of our admins even paid for Facebook ads.
It's funny you mention; Facebook was encouraging me to boost the dedicated Promisance page I run (albeit not entirely consistently), but for some reason I haven't been able to effectively use the $10 credit just yet :/
But as an advocate of the game, it is my intent to promote it for as long as willpower & feasibility permit. I do feel all-the-more responsible to see that it doesn't just go extinct online~

But RWL faced the same issue as the other Promis, that when Promi was written there were much fewer online games and now there's a ton of 'em.
And I think the ROC suffered with Jacques' death, but smaller websites have been mostly abandoned for Facebook, Reddit, etc...
Not that stating simply, there's also more people around the world online than ever, it doesn't negate your point. But in that, I would like to extrapolate that the presence of more diverse, niche communities dedicated to retrogaming, the society for creative anachronism, wildlife rehabilitation, etc... -shouldn't rule out the possibility of player influx (although how many trickle in from that first, relevant, aforementioned example can only speculated), yet I'll admit the numbers won't quite be what they were... but maybe annually, they can be~
Or maybe I'm just a displaced cheerleader trying to back a horse that's content to retire? Can I speak to your manager? :P
