Yeah I remember that now.
Thanks for that.

Will enable kills next round, yall be nice tho

Also, zero interest in operating an oldschool style promi server.
If yall want one I'd be happy to help with the setup, webhosts are dirt cheap these days.

Hi Windhound, thanks for your quick response.

Nutshell; Someone can only be killed when in a clan. Also, if someone does not have a sufficient amount of loyalty saved up, killing someone is next to impossible. I had Scorpion send me loyalty in order to heal, after my run I only had approx 100 turns left. Which means that if I had to loot or scoot or forage to get health up, it would not have been enough.

To remedy this, perhaps make grabs under 500 50% more difficult. That would mean you would require at least to people actively hitting in order to kill.

Still I think killing someone that is clanned "needs" to be possible. That's the risk of being clanned and having the benefit of indef. landgrabs, aiding etc.

Anyway. hope a dialogue can be opened. At least we know Dark and Charlie would have been killed ;)

Agreed, the problem at the time was a few members were running a training clan with a group of newbies, which was needed to get around the aid credit restrictions and it was nice for them to be grouped together.
Then someone got bored and started shooting fish in a barrel.

tbh kill runs become pretty easy with three+ players, 's how they were typically coordinated in the past.  No need for extra loyalty, just hand off the torch.

We have 'Standards under 500' coded in, I don't remember why it was turned off.
It forces you to use Standard (all unit) attacks on empires under 500 acres, this would have made your kill runs today significantly more difficult, unless I'm mistaken on Ryu's net makeup (I haven't looked as I have a playing account this round).

If most of yall want kills re-enabled, with or without 'Standards under 500', I don't mind.

Yeah..  I posted in the forum chat when I glanced at the scores page and saw yall had him down to a few acres

Kills were disabled a few years ago because someone was bored and killing newbies.
So we took the blunt axe approach and just disabled kills.

I can think of a few different ways to remedy, again noone has tried for a kill in a while so it hasn't come up.
I'm open to revisiting.

tbh Growlithe has been waiting all round for someone to reach out and ask, but he's happy soloing

Porygon kiiiinda had his name forced on him (with the option for a free redo!) so I get why he might not want to associate with Growlithe.

Growlithe tried to get Gyrados to come out and play, and Snorlax slept the whole round, but whatevz.
Fire types don't need weak Normal or Water types as allies anyways

Yeah, Shael tried facebook ads in the past..  not sure we got even one new member from it.
The collapse of the Redwall Online Community (ROC) hurt us the most, a solid chunk of our membership came from places like Terrouge.
We never really drew from the common Promi player pool, I think yall didn't like us much for whatever reason.

Promi is a tough game to translate to mobile -- there's a lot of text, bunch of pages, and a fair bit of info to click through when making a run.  Most mobile games are graphics-based, and we're a text-based game.

The game meta right now is also super non-intuitive.  ie for mage you can ignore everything but huts and leaders.
Re-balancing is hard, tried with RWL3 and it seems like most existing players preferred classic.

Fair, it's not like your typical series that follows a single character all the way through; most heros only show up for a book or two and nearly all the villains are single-use.
There are some reoccurring chars, we see Cregga long past her prime in Tagg.
And we'll see descendants pop up fairly regularly - https://redwall.fandom.com/wiki/Redwall_Family_Trees
Plus the general lore around Martin, the Abbey, Salamandastron, etc.

It's been a long while but Slagar is the only villain that comes to mind to appear in two books...
most of them die
Neat.
Best first-time read order is probably the order they were written, there's various references and callbacks you'll miss otherwise.

But Tagg is, iirc, largely it's own tale and not a bad place to jump in.

From what I remember Jacques didn't put a whole lot of twists in his books, everything works out more or less how you'd expect so there aren't many real 'spoilers'.
But still fun stories, with each building out the world's lore.

Hey West, welcome to Critter Prom!
One of the last standing promis

We're based on nearly two decades old QMT (...heck) and diverged from there.  Core is still QMT tho, you should pick it up quick.
Let me know if you have any code questions, for strats others are better suited

But yeah, RWL was never quite as toxic as some of the other promis.. some tiffs here and there but largely amicable.
Also forgot the wordfilter was set to duck, 'spose I could go in and tone that down

I mean, we're still at the start of the round so if you'd like.  I asked Google and it said to give you #130 Gyarados

Guess Porygon likes his name, he did get a good draw

Also Snorlax (#11) I appreciate you

tbh I thought about making them choose a new name, and if I knew we still had a younger player or two I would have, but at this point eh.
