It's pretty saddening to watch the active community get smaller and smaller though. Even I no longer play, but I've spent too much of my life here to just disappear.

Math is fun, but yea, I can't really see myself going into research or something like that. Engineering is also fun but somewhat more rage-inducing than just pure math.

Realistically I'll probably change my major once I go to wherever I'm going, but I'll definitely stick to math/science

also off topic but dayum, can I hire you as a theorycrafter? how do u even come up with this stuff

my worry is that this would put more power in the hands of lockers, since people who break them would have a hard time doing anything with the free land, leaving it open to being retaken. we could change the variables that affect it to avoid this, if need be, but just upping the numbers in the current formula won't have the desired effect.

I don't like the idea of increasing the costs, it would both hurt indy players as well as make it very difficult for players just starting out.

I mostly agree with you; I haven't played 3.0 for a while either, but the issue of market abuse and towers is more or less separate from the issue of Drakus. The land pumped in excess was just a catalyst. If Drakus hadn't abused the bug, the issue would still exist but likely on a smaller scale or at least later on in the round. Kilk is right to an extent.

Only really meaningful post I see here is the one by Taek, everything else has this underlying hostility that doesn't seem too constructive.

There are clearly issues, so why not go make a new topic and address them there instead of piggybacking on a troll thread and flaming each other for attitude?
