Eh... I have seen websites like that before. Lots of flashy html effects and no real effects, and generally an increase in nothing but spam your way.

Nobody would offer you free advertising on that scale and not get something out of it. That site is also just begging for bots to take advantage of it,, so if it ever took off it would not stay clean for long.
