I'll start with (in no particular order):
1. Silent hunter 1. (Yeah, I'm a dinosaur, as you'll see in the other games)
2. Zork
3. Prisoner of War
4. Age of Empires
5. Any Sid Meier game

5 is not a joke either. I have 117 seasons invested with 21 D1 trophies, 7 D2 trophies, 1 D3 trophy, and 1 D4 trophy.

I get so into it that the girlfriend has to tell me to turn it off because I start yelling at the stupid dinosaurs without even realizing I'm doing it.

Many, many, MANY expletives have been dropped on this game.

Definetly mass effect and possibly dragon age, although I own them on the xbox. Halo started out on computer, and that has single player, so yeah. Erm, both knights of the old republic. Jade Empire. Oblivion. Portal. Age of empires. I couldn't really make a definite list.

Well, born mid 1990's, but I like a lot of 90's and pre 90's stuff (by pre-90's, I don't mean video games haha, unless pong and pacman counts).  I agree with you that half life and total war are pretty sweet. I'm mainly into RPG's though. Not many RPG gamers in my age range, lol.

Empire Earth is good, but could have been a lot better in my opinion. I have it lying around by my old PC.

Jesus christ, Minecraft. I have no idea what it is that is so addictive about this game,  all I know is that I literally can't stop. I'm going to build a sweet castle and nothing can stop me!

I still love old-school  Nintendo... can't quite bring myself to ebay my special Pokemon N64 even though I desperately need the money..

I could never get into Zelda, though. I got the wii version, but my sister ended up playing it instead. :-\

They get boring after a while, though, and the controls suck b/c a lot of games require pressing more than 3 buttons at once, which is impossible on a keyboard.
