How do you do a strategy with zero attacks?

Shadow is right. It's all about reselling things on the market.

You want to spend your runs making food and selling it at a premium. If everyone knows you're passive then you can probably sell for a wee bit more then potential competition.

When you get money - spend it. Right away. Buy troops on the market, and resell them for a small profit.

The other part is diplomacy. I don't really have much leverage on that front: Sevah doesn't like hearing about reality because it frightens him. So when I tell him about the real world, he usually sicks his dogs on me. But otherwise it is very important to keep good relations with people. Offer to mule their troops while they run. Offer to send them small packages of aid. The fewer attacks you endure, the less scouting you have to do.
