Revolting
« on: August 16, 2013, 05:23:05 AM »

So I am looking to revolt at the moment but i have searched the forums and apart from finding some topics that have been really fun to read again (Playing with shade was so much fun ;D) i was unable to find any information on what resources you lose when you revolt. I would prefer to keep as much of my stuff as possible :D.

You lose about half of everything, on average. Banked cash and marketed goods are safe.

  • Uiblis: you just kind of fritter away turns until someone teaches you some basic strategies, but I want that to lead to more interactive, emergent gameplay

  • JesterAverageJoe: I know this has been something a number of very intelligent, & exceedingly perceptive developers have been trying to figure out for years. Makes me wish there wasn't so much bad blood between the different communities & circles, so that maybe a mature discussion could be shared~

  • windhound: One of the coolest thing about RWL in the beginning was there was no meta.

  • windhound: Everyone was sorta flailing around, so it didn't take much to be average at the game when most everyone was terrible at it.

  • windhound: Now it's basically like joining a CS or Halo server that's been up for years, those left playing have super optimized strats and it's tougher to just jump in.

  • JesterAverageJoe: in a way, I feel like one of the only ways to marry the Prom functions w/ mobile interfaces would be to have some 3rd party/intermediary java program... Certainly not ideal where entry is concerned~

    March 31, 2021, 09:22:30 PM
  • Uiblis: never liked the ui, it was messy af and didnt distill the important info out
    March 31, 2021, 09:22:55 PM
  • Uiblis: been writing a lot of rust recently so might give that a shot for the backend

  • windhound: Sorry if the site's a little flakey today guys, ASO is having issues with their nameservers.  I've put a fix in, but DNS propogation can take a few hours.
