sure you could skip making loyalty, but you wouldnt get very far without the leaders it produces.

i like the idea of just nerfing food net, will solve a few problems.

What? Your huts fill up no matter what you spend your turns doing.

Pippin

yes, but generally you earn the majority of your leaders through spending turns earning loyalty, that might just be what i do though.

no, you're right. The point is that most leader races earn plenty of loyalty, so the market would be small. They had this at FAF for a while, it was just another inactive market component, and they actually have a fairly active public market.

The concept we've discussed concerning the market, means it would be used as a market. Things wouldn't be stored, they would be sold for a default price after a certain amount of time. That would eliminate the storing problems, and make prices more competitive.

I kind of thought that if changes were made to the market that it would allow indiers to use it as a kind of storehouse to help with the net-cap issue, but if they're more vulnerable to market thefts than leaders are (I didn't bother running any numbers concerning sacks) then it wouldn't really work

I thought that goods would just be perma on until sold in the future instead of being sold for default merc price after x time in the future, maybe that would make it even more competitive?

Pippin

then people would work around the x amount of times, every run they could remove the goods from the market and then put them back on.

and indys sacks are more effective than leaders to even out steal so i dont think market theft will be a problem also considering money goes straight into clunys hut and only leaks out at 3% every 10 minutes.

No matter how many times you say "Market theft isn't a big deal for indies 'cos they can sack", it doesn't make it true.

There are already multiple posts in this thread explaining that Sack is no comparison to Steal, that indyers have no way to protect themselves against it. So why are you banging on so much about market theft?

Many of these suggestions have more than a faint whiff of not being thought through.
I will not deleted this

Pippin

just saying its not really possible like before.
