New Race

Rakefur

Hey I just had an idea for a new race: Wolverine. For the stats, how about this?
Offense: Very good
Defense: Good
Build: Average
Costs: Good   
Loyalty: Average
Training: Bad
Income: Good
Scouting: Bad
Mercenaries: Good
Food: Bad
Leadership:    Average
Foraging: Bad
Of course, that's just my opinion. What do you think?

Do wolverines ever appear in the books?

All races at RWL are designed to fill a niche - offensive army production (rat), cash production (marten, magpie), food production (wolf, ferret), networth protection (stoat, wolf), etc. What niche did you have in mind for this race?

Wolverines appeared in Rakkety Tam. I had in mind a very offensive race. One that would compete with rat. I tried to copy the nature of wolverines in the book. (i.e. Good offense, bad food production)

Probably a leader/attacker race, very strong attacking, but uses a lot of food and has a hard time foraging.

New races are only likely to be added if they add a completely new strategy to the game. Otherwise it's just more of the same under a different name. The actual stats are almost irrelevant - you have to think of a new niche for your new race to occupy, and fit the stats around that.

Could we make a sort of mercenary, as in a species that made tropps quickly and could then sell them directly to ogthers at a high price?
