Three, actually. I was never that active until 2009. Then,  made a forum account around 3 months ago, and that's why everyone recognizes me now.

I see Bystanders Dream (#11) has gone on vacation... I am assuming this is so that his allies can whomp everyone on the server and hand him the set on a platter.

This /will/ be coded out of the game ASAP

not to be mean peace but this game is based around a monopolistic/ capitalistic freemarket economy. Him and his freinds can do what ever they like. Putting laws into place to stop tactical game play as such, seem just so socialist..... we arnt all canadians ya dig.
When you have done soemthing right, no one will know you have done anything at all

Well worry not, loney, voicing your opinion isn't mean.

However, Vacation was not built into the game to protect any sort of free market... this /is/ off topic though. do a quick search to see wots wots on the forums about vacation abuse.

Coding out holes in the game is the best way to do things.
Relying an the admins to patrol is a) time consuming for the admins in question b) unreliable c) only invites conflict
There is no conflict or "I didn't know any better!" excuses with a coded in rule.

Peace Alliance

if you're quitting? that's what the Delete feature is for...

a vacation is a time you take away form teh game. in the the working world its the same way, when its the slow season you dont see santa in the mall, same with ppl in the service industry this is our vacation time because its the slowest time in the year. dosnt mean the entire world shuts down or the company itself, but some employees are able to take time off due to low demand in there specific feild. drawing form that example if the said player took time off he was meerly taking a break because his role in the group was unneeded, therefore threw that logic its justifiable game play.

your absolutely right, i peaked my networth to the land on resources so people were sacking me for more than they make in a day. Running turns at at low growth with the risk of steals. Best logic was hibernation and avoid a frenzy of poverty stricken malnourished ransackers so i can come back to solo win

To be honest, I don't care to debate this. Using vacation just to keep your net unchallenged is exploitative. If for no other reason then because I say so.

ah, so you forgot that we have something called "aid"?

If you don't want to let down Briar, then suck is up and stick out the round.

Briar

Vacating to protect NW , to me, indicates that you don't have the skills to compete...but like Peace and myself have said, vacation has been argued far too many times and in too many places.

Also, Sevz, please don't use me as an excuse. Thank you.
At the risk of ruining Briar's career by disparaging her find of the famous Sackaleaderer horse...
