After seeing all of the debate on rekindling the older days at RWL, I've had an idea on how to keep the better elements of both the older RWL and newer RWL without upsetting anybody, but it isn't a complicated solution.

Just add new servers. Looking over at valhall, they have a variety of servers. They have one where the main objective is to kill players, and the player with the most kills wins. They have a turbo like server. They also have two older servers, vintage and standard, which are former/different versions of the main game.

Would it be possible to put in similar servers here? Maybe a "classic" server or something where there is a larger emphasis on role-playing and a more classic type of RWL. It wouldn't really need themes. In the same way good grammar is a requirement for the forums, posting IC (in character) and role-playing should also be a requirement. People who are less interested in that should not play. It could also have a larger emphasis on the books, and it would be a good starting point for newer players.

A vintage server might also be a good idea. A turbo with only 450 turns, less of the new features (the original 3 races if you wanted to be really radical) etc.

I'm not sure how much work these would be to moderate, though. It's only a suggestion, but would it be viable? I'm not sure how much work would be needed to do it.

Camping online is basically staying online so nobody will hit you as they will be "online," and so you can hit them back as soon as they do.

Right, so what are your views on a warlord camping online? I think it is a nasty tactic that should be discouraged/banned. It rewards those who have more time then others which is, to be honest, pretty unfair. All of today I was unable to do a run n decent land because a warlord was locking, and when I did break he onlined me because he was camping.

This guy is probably Sevah, seeing as they have no sense of "honour." They broke protection at an ideal time at a stoat and got good land to get a large amount of leaders+towers. All day they have been gaining land and camping online so if anybody took land they could hit them back. As soon as I broke through with rats to run, they failed a murder and engaged in a pointless online war.

This is a warning to them and any associates of them. Continue your supposed hardcoreness whilst using lame tactics such as onlining and camping, and bad things will happen. (also no I did not online Unknown quantity. If you camp at your computer with the intent to protect your land from others, I don't consider it onlining)

Edit: Shortly after ranting at me for "onlining" him, he onlined another warlord. ::)

Hmm? Quit camping at your computer to defend your land, lol. Failing murders and guerrilla strikes aren't going to get you anywhere.

I just gathered 100k and wasted half my run, but I swear that by tommorow everybody will be back down to under 60k. Why is it so hard to drill it into everybodys skull that the more land you have, the more productive you are? I may not usually agree with Sevz, but as one of the better players in the site, he usually runs on above 100k. That is for a reason.

It's not even difficult to gather the same amount each run. I'm on 100k, volk is on 70 and plenty of other people are on decent amounts between 30-50k.

I did not play, but these should still be put up. After reading the clan forums and seeing the net distributions, I can fill in a few sections

Best player: Genevieve followed by Sharptooth. Both had poor lineups, but both did their best and produced a lot of net.
Worst player: Sevz for betraying and planning to betray his clan, as well as insulting his clan. Also theme and code absued. Completely missed the point of the whole round.
Best leaderer: N/A
Worst leaderer: N/A
Best indier: Many good indiers
Worst indier: N/A
Best newcomer: N/A
Most annoying: Sevz not being banned
Best clan:  Marlfox did good netting, but Rapscallion were more organized.
Worst clan: Flitchaye
Biggest suprise: N/A
Biggest disappointment: Sevz trying to betray his own clan by cloaking, getting them to aid him their net and eletting everybody else fight it out
Biggest talker: Sevz
Best hair doo: Me

What do you guys think of him? I'm pretty sure he's lost it. He isn't high, he got tested, therefore I see mental problems as the answer, which is unsurprising given his lifestyle. When he starts waving machetes around and drinking "tigers blood" (I sure hope that wasn't actually tigers blood...) he is becoming a danger in my opinion. He's an overpaid wacko, but he's getting so much publicity from this, I have a feeling he might be exaggerating as much as he can. Martin Sheen and Charlie Sheen are just such opposites, Martin seems to disapprove of Charlie's actions. (can't blame him)

Also, he isn't bi-polar. He's bi-winning  :P
